need to have it written bigger next the the buy button "WARNING: THIS PURCHASE REQUIRES ADDITIONAL 3rd PARTY SOFTWARE "UdontPLAY" TO RUN"

and how many reviews were based on demo footage/gameplay?

most reviews should start "after battling for about 5 hours UPlay finally let me log in and play the game"

Doesnt work on 8.1, followed the guide to the letter and nothing. My game launches but SweetFX does not work once in the game, toggling on and off makes no visual difference in game. and yes, I've disabled the ingame AA

This is really starting to frustrate me, been using SweetFX in my games for years now, never had an issue that couldnt be resolved. I ***ing hate Windows 8.1 sometimes

Yeah, I like the game too, but disagree with this. The city has no atmosphere imo. Totally forgettable. As for gameplay, it isn't bad when they actually let you play the game, but the driving is absolutely terrible and there is still far too much linear restriction on missions for me, makes me want to rage quit far too much.

Was trying this out on a dodgy copy and enjoyed it so I bought it, and now I can't even get onto uPlay. This has got to be a ****ing joke? They wonder why people pirate in the first place, absolute morons.

Not sure then. Not using FRAPS or something are you? That stops it working.

Hopefully it'll sort itself out soon and remain stable for good after that. Not denying uPlay isn't utter **** (its UI is so bad compared to steam its not even funny) but I can give them at least some benefit of the doubt for the game proving so popular and crippling the service.

On the bright side though once you've logged in once you can ignore it and go offline.

I did manage to get on last night also. Those 14.6 beta drivers sorted it out.

can you tell me exactly step by step how your are doing it then and post some screenies of the files and where thet are placed so I can compare with what I have.

glad your enjoying 30fps, medium settings and 900p then

Hope it was money well spent buying a next gen console that cant output full hd and hold 60fps. Sorry, couldn't resist.

I don't mind 30fps if its stable tbh. Better than the stuttery mess at high settings on PC.

Silly question but can you play the online features while in offline mode?

I literally just followed the instructions on that "Use SweetFX In Windows 8.1" page. Then used the Watch Dogs SweetFX preset here:

PS4 looks the same as my PC on ultra settings to me. Slightly better AA on pc but that's about it. It runs a lot smoother on PS4. Not bad seeing as my PC is worth around £1500 and a PS4 is £300.....

I've done everything in the guide, to the letter, on numerous occasions but it just will not have it. The game launches but the effects do not take and pressing the on/off toggle makes no visual difference so I know it's not injecting.

I have a 4770k and currently a 780 and it runs like a dog. Yours is smooth with a 670 ?

you need a better pc then

cause my neighbour has it on PS4, easy to compare the details, looks gash compared to Ultra settings

I'm perfectly happy with it. Nice being able to play a game without jumping through 200 hoops first

Buttery smooth, maybe it's time for a format?

People on lower specs than mine run it just as well too from the sounds of it, it's just case by case, so either the game hasn't been coded yet to run on a specific piece of kit you have (RAM etc) or your PC is in a sorry state. Time will tell.
