Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

If i'm honest I am bored of this already. I just don't care about the story at all. Its very stupid in that you are supposed to be some vigilante who loves his sister and nephew but then you go about stealing other peoples cars and money and inevitably running people over.

The graphics are ok and it runs ok but its nothing special.

Waste of £17 :p

Oh well.

i'm playing mine as a like cop role :D i'm only stealing parked cars not hurting any civilians any helping them every-way i can

they love me now and news say they will not give police any information on me as they "love" me :):D

graphics are good, gameplay is fun, spent 23 hours not even completed act II yet. side missions and atmosphere are keeping me entertained

I like the irony of 'crime detected' then running over 10 people getting there to 'prevent' the crime :D

edit - sussed it. For anyone moving installations or using someone's pre-downloaded binaries you'll also need the "uplay_install.state" file that lives in uplay\data\<game ID number>. Delete everything else that lives in that folder. Make sure your download directory in the game binary folder is empty too.

Terrible platform, I'm pirating the next Ubi release on principle.

I have. Got an error message during /after install so verified just to check. All was ok.
Performance has been fine for me, all settings on high, 1080p. That's good enough for me
 
It is amazing how they have seemingly gone out of their way to make this game as boring as they can. Most of the side stuff is just...well, I don't know, I have no reaction to it. I just hacked someones home and listened to a boring conversation about a baby they were going to have. erm, great:confused:

Also the gang hideouts are Ubisoft at their most retarded, which takes some doing. I just had to 'knock out'(for some reason?) 2 gang leaders in one of them, and as I was sneaking around I was spotted by a goon, so I killed the guy, then two more. When I got to the leader, he spotted me so I shot him...GAME OVER. DO IT AGAIN THE WAY WE TELL YOU TO NEXT TIME!!!:mad::mad:....they were fine with the 5 guys I killed to get to them, but I didn't do exactly what they said to the letter so the game killed me. Absolutely retarded.

It would maybe be acceptable if it was some kind of contract you were doing which stipulated they be left alive for some reason, but it isn't. You apparently decide to do it on your own. It would even maybe be acceptable to me of you just failed the mission and got on with the game, but no, game over and do it again. It is this kind of gameplay that makes me despise Ubisoft, who really are setting gaming back 5-10 years with their stale gameplay. I have seen it start to creep in to other games recently as well.

Cousin just bought it on steam loaded it up, loaded up uplay asked to enter his key and then it crashes. Now says key in use and not on his account as redeemed or in games.
Ubisoft are a total fail. Why do I get the feeling the support ticket we just made is going nowhere fast and even with me providing proof of key and purchase this will end badly.
 
Played in offline mode earlier due to ufail.

Got a decent couple of hours in, enjoying it. If the fix a couple of the stutter issues and make it a little better optimised it will be a good game.
 
I'm getting horrible performance on this game, settings are all on high with AA off @ 1080P and I'm getting 30-50FPS whilst driving and walking around.

Specs are:
3930K @ 4.5Ghz
16GB ram 1600Mhz CL8
2 x HD7950's in CF
ETC.....

Frame rate fluctuates widely, just a stuttery mess, shame really as I really like the gameplay so far.

Oh and Uplay keeps crashing after I exit the game...

Stopping the convoy and taking someone down missions are just plain stupid....it wants you to take two people down, without killing them, while they have an automatic rifle and bodyguards...oh and the convoy doesn't pass through any hacking traps apart from one or two traffic lights....the whole game seems easier to just play it GTA style, ignore the hacking and just shoot everyone. Disappointing.
 
yeah the whole concept of the gang hide out missions is stupid, should have just been, knockout the gang members without killing them for bonus xp but if you kill them all you still finish the mission. Whats the point in leaving 1-2 of them alive only to kill the rest of them when your escaping!

You can just kill the guy in the convoy missions.
