Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

Paramedics definitely turn up, their response time is a little slow though. I haven't yet seen a fire crew turn up though.

I have yet to see a paramedic, fire brigade however, i have seen enough of. The sirens are actually annoying and usually they turn up when im in the middle of a mission. :D

Just had to do one of those missions where you have to tail someone without being spotted and if you are you have to start again. Gave me nightmares of assassins creed all over again. I know they copy and paste a lot between there games but did they really have to include that lol.

Was this the one where you're inside the enemy "compound" thing? That did my head in, restarted so many times!

They turn up but don't do anything, they don't even stop. They just drive past, sirens going and disappear around the corner. Bit of a half assed feature really. Never seen a fire truck.

mouse and keyboard even on realistic is cheating but some missions it leaves you no choice but to pull the gun out and get it done.

Dissapoints me a bit that they focussed so heavily on the console player and playing with a controller despite it being lead release on the PC

About 25% through on my second run through not done much past finding out who is taunting the family. been trying to clear most of the side missions.

Looks stunning. Occasional CPU stutter isn't that annoying. Would say I've had my monies worth already.

Because it is designed for consoles with a large pool of ram and then poorly ported and optimised for Pc.

:)

Thing is I could almost understand this reasoning if it was a next gen console game only, but it runs on the last gen consoles, meaning they had to create and engine/game that scales down in memory usage and so by design shouldn't be fundamentally linked to having a large pool of memory available. Even so with the amount of memory reserved for OS and the fact that there is obviously quite a lot of memory in use for the game itself rather than just textures. I forget how much say the PS4 or XO have in usable memory for a game, call it 6gb and 1-2 gb of that is for the game itself.

Seems they just went out of their way to make it crap on the PC for whatever reason, or more to the point, spent as little time and money as possible optimising.

Seems pretty bizarre as being a Nvidia sponsored game and being that they are out of consoles now, you'd expect them to push for as brilliant a PC version as possible......

totally addicted to online decryption now, really fun! this is deffinitly the best game i played so far this year!

I kind of feel online decryption is ruined by having a shared percentage. SO you can have it for 90% of the time and still lose when they take it right at the end. Makes solo decryption a random number generator and team decryption about doing one fight at the end rather than the rest of it :/

I don't think I have ever spent so long fiddling with settings in a game to get it how I like it.

Finally seem to have it looking and playing nice with 2560x1600, Ultra settings with High textures with HBAO+ except shadows on low. Mostly runs between 60-120fps. Occasional stutter but not too bad. Always seems to do it when I go in tunnels though. Even if I drop the resolution to 1080p putting the shadows setting to anything but low creates lots and lots of stutter.

There's plenty of feedback available. The vast majority in response is looking extremely negative, a game not fit for purpous, a game that will be worth buying when it's patched up and cheap.

I don't have the game myself, not interested in it

This is what I said PRE-Release

Can't say I didn't warn you guys who purchased it and didn't like it :(. Yeh I know you need to make your own minds up

I really don't get the "this game looks awful" comments. It doesn't look awful and it isn't awful. It's not great, it's good. The glitches in the above video are in every game if you search YouTube. I had one in metro 2033 where my gun disappeared. You just laugh and get it on with it. Mistakes happen in code and it's usually funny stuff that happens :D
