Pump top increases pump efficiency.

I think the FC5 has more watts per channel meaning more fans and more futureproof :)

ah yes! The PSU in the bottom will be fine! If you put it at the top it may interfere with mobo and you'll have to do some modding. It will also look **** tbh!

That look fine

Although one question, when you specced me before you had 4x 1/2" barbs and 2x 7/16" compression fittings

Should I stick to same size or is the different sizes fine (if so, which component did you give the compression fittings for?), also someone on another forum said 1/2" tubing will increase flow so is it better to get, or 7/16" fine?

and should I get clips, my last w/c build I had jubilee clips
 
Basically, 1/2 is a lot bigger than 7/16 so obviously, there's more flow. 7/16 is easier to route. TBH, the DDC is a really capable pump so it really doesn't matter that much about flow :)

With compressions, you match the tubing size exactly. With barbs however, you use larger barbs with smaller tubing as it stretches the tubing a lot and gives a really really tight seal meaning you don't need clips.

If you had 1/2 barbs with 1/2 tubing, then clips are recommended. With 1/2 barbs and 7/16 tubing, clips would really just be a waste.

1/2 is 13mm ID and 7/16 is 11mm. It's made me look at 3/8 and that's only 10mm. I thought it was way smaller :)

PS - Scotteh, the compression fittings go where the barbs go. On the blocks, radiators, reservoirs and pumps. Then you put the tubing on and screw the compressor ring on.
 
I used 1/2 for my first lc rig. 7/16 for my second. 7/16 looks half the size of 1/2:eek:

I'd stick to 7/16 personally, unless you can find a wide range of 3/8 fittings in the uk :)

You have either barb OR compression :)
So you can have a barb and comp on a rad. Both barb. Both comp.
As long as you have two on each bit it's fine.

Barbs are independent of compressions and vice versa :)

When I specced, I put random numbers in. You need 8 fittings in total, as you said, and they can be either barba or compressions or a mix of both.
 
They are safer but not that much. I'm using barba and compressions as it looks better in some places.

Eg. A barb looks better on an angled fitting whereas a compression looks better when you have curves in the tubing.

Purely taste :)
 
Yes, as long as they have fuunctionality.

I think 45s are better as they look nicer and offer pretty much the same in ters of use

I don't think it's that company, can't see any awards on their page.

Mayhems gives a special (;)) thanks to it in the videos if you read end of it :p

I'll most likely only buy small parts from that company and buy the most of it on OcUK, only buying from them as OcUK doesn't seem to stock different colour braided cables, just white/black from what I've seen

So drop current pump + top and get that pump?

I'm guessing it's better performance?

I'll look at silver barbs :p

yep, that pump comes with a top (the bundle)
