WB (DC) WB meging with Paramount ?

Peter Sarfan (Gunn right hand man) is the one that probably protect Miller and Heard

Hes been pretty darn vocal on his defense of Heard.

Lets not beat around the bush. David is ruthless and wouldn't bat an eye lid in canning her.
i will be fair - watch one of the reeve sup films over the hols, yeh it belongs in a period. but it was light hearted and fun.

the cavill ones were too dark, basically they tried to copy the dark knight and i just dont think it worked for me, i would start again but:

batman films (keep dark, like the dark knight / the batman) in fact carry on with "the batman"

superman films - make more light hearted, more fun - i.e. modern version of reeves, no more teenager with angst issues
Superman is just the wrong Character to deconstruct. Utterly wrong not just a little bit.

Snowpiercer cancelled. Season 4 filmed, but won't be shown on TNT.

Season 3 ended on a cliffhanger so it's a bit annoying that they won't show the final season despite it already being filmed.
Having said that it's only slightly above average in the storyline stakes so I'll live with the loss!

from what i understand all of season 4 episodes were filmed and had finish post production so it basically they ready to air, it just that tnt won't air it. production company is looking for another network to air it. i suspect it doesn't effect Netflix which air it internationally.

I interpreted it as the same as Batwoman, a tax right off, so they won't air it at all.

However , I guess it's possible they could still sell it to Netflix internationally so in that way we would be unaffected. Will wait and see, not a huge loss anyway, but just adds to the bad decision making at WB, imho.

there are rumors that lois and clark, titans, doom patrol, kung fu and pennyworth are all in the crosshairs to be canned.
Not really surprising. Considering that Safran and (according to rumor, especially) Gunn doesn't like variants. They apparently want all things connected like Marvel.

The only issue is, all that'll do is can the good stuff now (like Cavill) and only pushes for a future stuff that they "hope" to get people invested into first in order to build on. Which is of course no guarantee.

Whilst there's a lot of people out there who say that writing a good story is enough to get people on board. This might have been true many years if not decades ago. This is simply no longer the case with the ever wider availability of similarly quality material that crops up. So whilst some still make the claim that those online who disagree with how things are being done are "vocal minority" and can be ignored (Remember Last Jedi anyone?), if Safran and Gunn are too eager to make one unified DC Universe (THEIR Universe) at the expense of current and existing material (and viewers/fans) that you could write any way you want out when you lead it to a natural end so that your product can then take the torch, they could invariably just make more hurdles for themselves unnecessarily.

They had a perfect opportunity to basically "close out" gracefully all parties they no longer want, to lead (pass the torch) over to "their" product down the line. Now there's no passing of the torch, so some fans won't be on board already. All WBD/DC has done so far is go from one extreme to another. It won't be a Marvel Universe competitot at this rate that's for sure.

Pennyworth is about the best of the lot, really like it quirkyness and it still has the air of WTF is going on.

Why didn't they just reboot with a flashpoint at the end? Cavill could have got 1 more movie in.
Because they don't want any links or continuation with the Snyderverse. Stupid I know, they defo missed a trick imo. WB doesn't care reboots are a norm to them. Judging by their track record don't think they ever get it right particularly if the studio keeps interfering.

I wasn't bothered about the rest. But losing Titans and Doom Patrol sucks.

What is there to look forward to now? 3-5 years of no (or minimal) content, then back to basics - reintroducing the same basic characters all over again (possibly with the odd surprise here and there). Maybe it'll pay off in the long run. But in the short to medium term it sucks.

I love Doom Patrol but its just getting too silly now. I think its more about the characters for me tho so as long as it finishes ok then i will be ok with it. Same with Titans really, I do love a good, adult superhero show with good action and violence but i think it peaked with Deathstroke and went downhill from there...

Lois and Clark isnt that bad really. It has a bit too much teen drama but on the whole its reasonably well written and has some great Superman bits.

i have also been watching Pennyworth and that also has some great characters but the stories are pretty silly and most of the "Metahuman" are just really poor and often REALLY stupid.

Like McPhee says tho, what is there now to look forward to? Is the Green Lantern show still going ahead? Think that is all there will be when the current batch finishes.

Pretty much what @ZXSpectrum said really.

My only eye rolling moment was when Gunn said on Twitter on why he didn't do anything about saving these shows was that these shows cancelations happened before he and Safran took over. Yet... So was Henry Canvil being announced to have returned before they took over... So there's some logic not working here, and I'm certain it's not my logic. If Gunn wanted to do something about those shows, he most certainly could have.

Sounds like Gunn has been throwing some shade at Marvel's pattern of announcing films and sticking to the date.

"People have become beholden to dates, to getting movies made no matter what," Gunn continued, possibly referring to the MCU's roll-out of set dates for each phase of movies and shows. "I am a writer at my heart, and we are not going to be making movies before the screenplay is finished, and if that means our plan is going to shift a little bit, it’s going to happen."
