Really doesn't like the Arsenal supporters does he
Doubt he'll get more than a fine for the celebration (that's all Neville got for doing the same thing a few years ago) but would expect a 2 or 3 match ban for his stamp.
It's crazy that a player gets booked for taking his shirt off in front of his own fans and Adebayor is going to get the same for running the full length of the pitch to taunt the Arsenal fans. He could have started a riot and should get am extended ban for that as well as the stamp.

The stamp is shocking! Firts time I have seen it, really should have been off. Apart from that, he appeared to play brilliant.

To be fair a lot of the Arsenal supporters treated him like **** in his last season when he lost his form. Those supporters deserved that celebration today imo.

Yes but RVP certainly did not deserve that vicious stamp to the side of the head. It was absolutely disgusting and although RVP's earlier tackle could have seen him dismissed, Ade-barndoors stamp certainly should have seen him off straight away. The referee today was absolutely clueless. He missed a handball for a start, among an incident that could've left a player blinded or killed by blood clotting in the brain. It was definitely deliberate. His leg was moving away from RVP yet he somehow manages to stomp downwards onto his face. 3 match ban at the least, and all I can say is that the Man City fans can only hope that he keeps scoring, but don't be disappointed when he turns into a sulky human ladder that couldn't hit a cows **** with a banjo.

He lost his form because he blatently couldn't be bothered. Then we rightly so treated him like cack.

Why was Adebayor carded for his celebration?
Surely it's not a rule that you can't celebrate in front of the opposing fans?

It's because he deliberately taunted them. Funny how the ref gave a card for that, but not a penalty for a handling in the box that would have given a penalty and a chance to make it 2-2. Almost as bad as Mike Dean last week.

It's happened many times before and gone unpunished. IIRC, he's done it with Arsenal against us before.
If he'd have scored at the arsenal end he would have got away with it, but running 90 yards to the other side of the pitch....

A couple of years ago a Yeovil player that was born in Cardiff scored against us and ran the length of the pitch along the old north bank full of Swansea fans tapping his head (a cardiff celebration), you can imagine the reaction that got, lucky we scored in the 90th min to beat them 3-2, he still needed a police escort out of the ground though, silly boy

Yeah it was the fact that he ran the length of the pitch to the away supporters to do it.

When hasn't he looked good? Gets lots of assists and scores as many goals as most strikers.
I didn't say he's ever looked anything but.
Doesn't mean I can't compliment him on the way he's playing this season
He's not a striker either...

In fairness they scored another 2 goals so it wouldn't have mattered.
Also you can't really prove what was going in Adebayors mind or that he even made contact with van Persie so I don't think we should go handing out bans for players after a match has finished or else you will be going through every game afterwards looking for incidents.
