Meh. Been up since 5.
Still don't see what your point is, you should know how highly I rate Lampard. It's not like I was disputing his ability.
You don't say.
In fairness they scored another 2 goals so it wouldn't have mattered.
Also you can't really prove what was going in Adebayors mind or that he even made contact with van Persie so I don't think we should go handing out bans for players after a match has finished or else you will be going through every game afterwards looking for incidents.

Agree. There's no doubt he meant to catch RVP. If he had just landed on him with his foot he might've been an argument but the quick direction change of his leg and expression on his face say it all.Did you even see the game? If so you will have seen both the quick and sharp change of direction in Adebayor's foot, and you will have also seen the fair amount of blood that came streaming from RVP's face.

Adebayor may have just moved his foot to protect himself - you do say it was a quick movement. Wasn't van Persies head also moving at the same time so how can he avoid it, move or not move?
He doesn't have a history of that so it's unfair to say it was deliberate, afterall no-one can really say what was going through his mind at the time.

Dont know what's been said on today's game already but both Scholes and Giggs were majestic today - but wait 35+ year old's are crap aren't they?
LOL at how bad Burnley played at the back. Keeper couldn't hold the ball and the defence couldn't play the offside trap. No idea how they beat United.
Did you see the game? If you did, I'll just repeat what I said incase you missed it. Adebayor's foot was travelling in a different direction to RVP's head. Ade moved his foot quite sharply to make contact with RVP's face. He didn't even apologise, the mark he left on RVP's face was quite horrific. Unless your Adebayor himself, or a Man City supporter then I don't know why you're trying in vain to defend the actions of this classless act.

Yes I did see it. Unless you are a mindreader you can't know what his intentions are, when you are travelling that fast and bearing in mind he was in the air because van Persie had just went through him, you move your feet to find your bearings, you often don't know where they are going to land or what is in front of you.
Knowing Arsenals reputation, whats to say van Persie didn't move his head into the path of Adebayors foot in the hope of getting him sent off.
Scholes also got himself sent off and jeopardised the 3 points
It was never in jeopardy ¬_¬
Over half an hour to go, only 1 goal lead. Spurs had several chances in that time. Luckily a moment of brilliance from Fletcher and Rooney gave us a cushion.
