Weekend Football Thread **Spoilers**

The ref blew when Nani stayed down, he blew when Ballack stayed down he didn't when Evra did why? Inconsistency and poor refereeing.

I missed the Ballack incident but Nani was seriously injured so Foy was right to stop the game.

Of the 2 incidents I saw; there was nothing wrong with Evra so he played on, Nani was injured and he stopped the game. I can't see too much wrong there.

I've just re watched the game and it's clear for all to see that the ref blew because Ballack stayed down. There was never any Chelsea advantage to be had

We didn't lose we drew 2-2. Had we not got the second goal then yeah we had every right to feel cheated by the ref. The ref blew when Nani stayed down, he blew when Ballack stayed down he didn't when Evra did why? Inconsistency and poor refereeing.

If i remember right i think you are correct here, did he not then restart the game by getting Chelsea to give the ball back to man u.

I think he had a migraine.

Or a facegraine.

:D

I'd love to see Drogba get this kind of sympathy.

Not that either player deserves it.

If It would have been Drogba who overreacted it would have gone something like

United have possession> united score> LOL AT DROGBA FOR DIVING.

*sigh it was a proffesional foul, deal with it, the Ref didn't give it as United still had the ball and gave advantage, I feel it was a foul* United didn't get this.

Rooney was offside, Chelsea didn't get that.

Swings and round abouts. As I've said.

I think you have missed me entirely.

You're right the ref was right to stop the game when Nani stayed down but given the such blatant and obvious manner of the foul on Evra surely there is an argument that that could have been a serious injury also especially as when stayed down

As I said earlier, Foy was looking straight at the incident and could see that it was just a body check. Other than a freak injury, the only injury you could really expect from a challenge like that would have been Evra being winded which imo isn't enough to stop a game.

I love my football, my cricket and my rugby.

In cricket you get hit on the body by a ball travelling at 90+ mph, you man up and do not let the bowler see how much it hurt.

In rugby, union and league you never hear them sqeal in the tackle, but football..........
you can hear them crying when you are in the top tier.
It sickens me to hear these overpaid whimps scream at minimal contact.

Regardless, this is football.

You can't justify the actions apparent in one sport by relating it to another.

What The **** does all this have to do with A) Football. B) The Weekend Football thread.

Go to speakers corner if you want to complain about footballers.

Says it all.

GTFO. Rugby has nothing to do with this thread.

I think his point has slight validity.

If footballers didnt fall down like they had been shot after every tackle it would make the refs job easier. They would know if someone stayed down it was becasue they are actually hurt and not trying to get an advantage.

However as this will never happen its a moot point. :)

It is not a moot point if refs don't stop the game every time somone falls over their bootlaces tho is it.

Why so rude when i am sure you know exactly what i am trying to say?

This thread, weather by intent or artifice, has turned to the physical side of the game, so for me to make comparisons between sports, and sportsmen or women in Evra's case, seems to me to be fair.

Maybe when you leave your teens, you will grow up a bit, you will learn how to discuss a topic, rather than insult people when you have nowt else to say.

You can potentially win a match with a dive, you can't do that in Rugby.
...
that sounded better in my mind! Diving in rugby is the main thing to score!/facepalm
