How many pens do Chelsea get, my god.

The ball deviated from it's path when Upson tackled then, so obviously not a pen.

Fair play to Lampard having to take that 3 times though, can't have been easy.

Doesnt matter, same as touching the ball first in a tackle, if you take the man its a foul.
Doesnt help with people on the TV constantly getting it wrong.

Eh? There are loads of legal tackles where the player takes ball first then man.

Yes there are, there are also a load of tackles that are given as fouls when the player takes the ball then the man, and people go Oooh he's got that wrong he got the ball first.

Thats the point, its not the "getting the ball first" that determines whether its a foul or penalty, but the nature and the intent of the tackle.

Is that any clearer for you?

League is really wide open this year, no one is playing well, it is not unforseeable that a team like Aston Villa could win the whole thing.

Still would not bet against United wining it though - the general standard has dropped considerably.

i dont think the standard has dropped of the league at all, i think the teams other than the top 4 are putting in some very good performances and are giving them a good go, the top 4s standard have dropped a little bit though

That turned out better than it could have been.

We do seem to have let Mr Wenger and his side back into the title race though. :/

WTB defenders plz. :D
