I gather that that was a big issue for Predictor that too many processors were being identified similarly yet in fact there were, in project crunching comparison differences for margins of error on returned results, major differences. Hence improved accuracy sought from Identification.

Predictor is now going to require upgrade from boinc 4.13 after Jan 31 for anyone on their project, even though there is not yet a stable release of boinc above 4.13.

Well if the processor ID'ing is going to remain that way in later releases, I hope they start allowing computer merging in a more liberal way on the account pages, otherwise there will be quite a lot of annoyed people around :D

Just lol. You're right though we appear to be pulling away ever so slightly. Not good for stress levels though :p

Aye.. my seti account shows about 5 different PCs, and I've only ever run it on two, my main box and my linux one.. It just won't let me merge down to two boxes :mad: :rolleyes: :D
 
Oh no, were getting our butts kicked. Nearly 15,000 down so far today with the lead reduced to just under 5,000 wiping out everything we got earlier in the week :eek:

I know I've switched some crunching to Einstein & Predictor, and seen my seti RAC drop a bit. If a few of us have done that too, our team RAC might be in trouble.

i'm convinced we have to beat the germans proper so even i've started crunching again,joined team muckspreaded, i'll try to get my housemates involved. every little helps.

Hmm, dunno if the change in credits being awarded is down to borkley playing wiht the validator again. Server status which had frozen for much of the day at well over 90,000 WUs, has now dropped to 19,000 ish.
 
In the past when the validator has caught up SG have benefitted. When all is running normally we are usually ahead.

I was owed quite a lot of credit which I seem to have just been given this evening when the validator cleared.. (a bit). Maybe their output is actually higher than ours... :( either way, they're only 3k away from restomping. Tomorrow will be interesting as we normally have the upper edge during the mornings...

(edit)... In fact as I wrote that they'd just restomped us according to deutschebeat... 1k ahead now...
