Wet pc's and insurance companies..

Did you get a call back? we are so busy at the moment half of our people have got that stupid cold going around but im not making excusses it should have been sorted out first time.

Keep me posted as i will put this to the bosses.
 
problem with noobs is they cant do "like for like"

i had this problem when my PNY 5700Ultra 128MB died on me (from a superstre chain). i originally paid £40 for it on a special offer, but it died within 12 months and i pushed instore for a like for like...

unfprtunately some pople see 128MB and say that any other card with 128MB is infact LIKE for LIKE... when infact an FX5200128MB was nowhere near a 5700U...

ended up with a refund but i tried my hardest to get a £100+ card out of them. they just wouldnt have it!
 
If they wont replace your stuff like for like, threaten them with legal action as they are obviously in the wrong. If they have any common sense, they will accept the fact that they have to fork out the money. Either way, insurance companies are always re-insured so they wont loose any money either way.
 
Still no call back...


I did call them and was told i should get a call back today or tommorow (same message as yesterday)

However they lady did say my spec list had been emailed to tech support now... but that should ahve been done from the start realy shouldnt it..( or they could have looked at the pc in more depth..)

I went into the insurance co office last friday, played hell, told them I was trying to do a MCSE but couldn't work at home because the PCs had not been replaced yet.
did a bit of give and take (I know I can't have what I orignaly paid, but this is what it will cost to replace with the same kinda stuff, ie OCz ram, full tower cases etc) can we get this sorted fast?

had a letter from the loss ajuster today, offering full amount originaly requested - 300 because the laptop had devauled so much.
result!

TBH this is becoming annoying now as i have been told to do research into my new civillian role within the cops before i start...

and this pc keeps locking up... damn compaq :mad:


And 2142 looks good from what ive seen on other peoples machines.. :rolleyes:

Call the company and "a new quote should be with you in 30 mins" YEAH!! :D

"The lady dealing with this has gone home sorry we will chase it for tommorow" :confused:

Edit: My Nana could do more pixels per second than an fx5500..................................................... :cool:
