Going through a claims handler that doesnt know anything about computers does pay off in the end, this is one of the reason's i have been emloyed as a claims handler as i was the technical supervisor for the evaluation\repair and inspection engineers and know the products.
With me you would not have had any delay and it would have all been swift, not trying to blow my own trumpet (ive tried doing that and it doesnt work
My computer and monitor died about four weeks ago and just today I have been contacted by The Source to say they are handling things.
How long has it taken to reach a resolution with The Source, as my very slack Insurance company has taken this long just to get this far. I have been without a decent rig for four weeks and I am going mad aarrrgh!
My now deceased rig was at least as good as yours and cost about 1300-1400 quiddies so I hope they spec me at least that much worth including monitor.
What was the level of their technical knowledge? I really don't want the backwards and forwarding you went through.
I had hoped that they would offer cash and I could just order from OCUK
Pc was to arrive today but has been delayed till tommorow ( i will post tommorow and let you all know if it happens.)
But on another note, i got a letter today from my house insurance company ( Bradford and Bingley via Zurich) saying that my home insurance ends this month and they can no longer insure me as the cannot find a competative quote!!
Now this isnt conincedence that the 1st and only time ive claimed on the house insurance this is to happen, and i paid extra for specific pc cover.
This has been terrible service to be honest, fair enough you've got a decent spec (at last) but they should have quoted that straight away. This mess with delivery is just icing on the cake! They're really extracting the urine now.
