What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

Not sure what age has to do with anything. :/

But anyways, I recently started playing Deux Ex: Human Revolution.

It feels a whole lot like Mass Effect in a different setting, but with solo stealth sort of gameplay instead of squad-based action.

Liking it quite a bit. I'm enjoying the exploration, finding hidden routes, stressing over what to throw upgrade points into cuz so many are highly useful/relevant. I've got some nitpicks so far, including Jensen's voice, lack of a storage place, no aim/release for ADS(gotta hit the button twice), and a couple other minor things, but whatever. I'm still itching to play it again as soon as I have time!

Surely all you old men in this thread should be spending your evenings sitting in an arm chair watching old black & white films.....
:p

Actually our age group is classic 80's movies, like Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Predator and Aliens. Ah, not unlike Michael in GTA V...

Back to the games, very much looking forward to the next Deus Ex and Mass Effect titles!

49 in a few months, started gaming with a Pong console in the 70s, and will play computer games till the day I die.

The Division is my current favourite but also have the following on the go...

Rise of the Tomb Raider
BF Hardline
Wolfenstein
Plus others I can't remember as I've just turned my computer off.

36 and been PC gaming for well over 20 years, though I don't think the wife will ever get used to it!

As others have mentioned, I used to almost exclusively play mp games online (I was a pretty good fps player once upon a time) but the reactions just aren't there any more so nowadays prefer slower paced SP games.

When I can find the time: Total War Warhammer, Fallout 4 and the latest Tomb Raider via steam link.

Ya know, going through the games people in here are playing, I have to say - I dont see any real difference between what we play and what younger gamers play.

Which makes me question whether this thread is even relevant or necessary.

Maybe the whippersnappers were expecting something along the lines of:

- Hearts
- Minesweeper

40  here.

Currently playing The Division (PC), XCOM2 (PC) and occasionally some Destiny on XB1. Hoping that some of my friends might get into Rainbow Six Siege as I'd like to play that with friends :)

Well I was pretty much down to match 3 and pinball, save the odd 'action' rpg, and a few steam impulse buys id rarely play:(

Then VR came along, roll back the clock 20 years... I'm back in the game at 41

Yeah I'm thinking of upgrading for VR. Getting the overtime in to pay for that!

I think I'm getting more nerdy as I get older. Love new toys! :D

37 and just casual Heroes of the Storm these days, really need a new PC to get into anything more demanding. Good to see the 40+ still going strong.
