What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

two days ago I played Ultima Online for the first time in almost 10 years..

It's never as good when you go back. I did this a couple of years ago. Also, I guess it's the people you play with that make it too, so running round on my own didn't really work. Was fun to chop some trees and kill a few skeletons like the old days. I'm looking forward to Shroud of the Avatar having final wipe late this month. Still wont be the same as UO, but some similar things in there.

Playing Overwatch at the moment.

41, ARK Survival, The Last Leviathan (too early days - dont' buy it yet), Broforce and two days ago I played Ultima Online for the first time in almost 10 years..

God I loved UO. Not just the game either, the whole way that gamers were back then, before everything became mainstream and infested with the heathen masses. UO was truly the perfect storm, excellent game environment with a (on the whole) excellent mentality of players. It will never be repeated.

Guys if any of you older gents are interested I made a steam group specifically for people just like us :)

Not that I have anything against younger games, it's just that they have a different set of problems than us. I have to worry about work/kids/mortgage and so on, some of the players I have gamed with on CSGO ect are moaning about studying for their GCSE's :D

Should have called it Old Codgers UK :D

I'll sign up! *cough* mid-30s.

I think I qualify (70+) although I am new to gaming but not to computers.

I am somewhat restricted in the games I can play by my GTS 450 graphics card.

I have recently signed up to Steam and downloaded and played the original Call of Duty which I enjoyed.

I played some Civilization V but am undecided about that.

I have also tried the original Bioshock which I like.

I took advantage of the recent Steam sale to buy some newer games including Witcher 3 and Doom but am waiting on a new graphics card before I can try them.

Pretty much how I felt, I went back to look at old areas I use to play at on Europa but I'm convinced I was the only one on the server, a handful of houses remain but whole stretches of previously prime spots were empty. EA have a lot to answer for, that was one game they should have developed properly rather than just milk it for cash as they did :(

Awesome, I want to be like you when I grow up. :D

Witcher 3 is going to take up a lot of your time - it's great. :)

For me they ruined it when they n00bified it with Trammel (and Felluca)

Yeah, I'm 35, brothers only 22. We sometimes play fifa and COD. He just mullers me day in day out.

Sometimes on COD on PS4, his mates join the party and we all play on the same side. I can hear my bro apologising to them. The best one being "Sorry about my brother, he's a lot older but I let him play because he's bored"

Makes me feel like a 2ft tall old fit for an home codger :D

My 15 year old nephew plays cod on ps4 and regularly goes 30-40 kills to less than a handful of deaths, I'm more like the other way around, whilst u can't compete in terms of reaction times there are lots of fps tips and tactics online that can improve how you play.

I'm 35, single, have my own mortgage, no kids that I know of, used to be a hardcore MMO and multiplayer gamer mainly in my early-mid 20's.

I've not really played any games lately, just bored of them I think, biding my time ready for Star Citizen hopefully due out next year or 2018 at the latest, have been waiting since mid 2013 when i was heavily into Battlefield 3 and then Planetside 2, and then I heard of SC and so I was like...drool. In theory it sounds like the killer of all games, if CIG can pull it off.

Got a lot of cash saved ready to splash out next year on a whole new PC, £2k? and get a Rift/Vive VR headset. Can not wait!

40 here.

I play mostly League of Legends and currently The Witcher 3.

Occasionally nip into Football Manager 2016, H1Z1, and FOB missions in MGS 5.

Want to get into Metal Gear Online when I can find some time but as everyone knows Witcher 3 takes up the free time :D

Not quite 30 yet, (29) but thought id post regarding reaction times.. ive always been a multiplayer first gamer, love fps as im competitive.. I dont feel ive lost reaction time, but i think its down to experience and knowing how to play out certain situations that keep me competitive! I dont think i will ever lose the buzz of owning others :D

I'm 31, and I doubt my gaming habits will ever change. I play mostly RPGs, but anything with a story and gameplay which isn't linear is good for me. I am finding the range of games I can tolerate to be narrowing recently though. I'm becoming less forgiving of games that don't put effort in to gameplay, whilst being a lot more lenient story-wise.

I used to say 'I can live with mediocre gameplay if the story is good'. but now I am much more 'The story only needs to be passable so long as the gameplay is good(so long as they compliment each other)'

Currently playing fallout 4 and possibly gonna replay Deus Ex HR in prep for the new one.

I Remember last year when I was waiting in a que for a nightclub

There was a group of girls in there 20's behind me moaning like mad at some the 40+ year olds in the queue and saying that they should be at home asleep in bed at that age at this time of night...
