What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

45.... i play on my HTC Vive mainly play elite dangerous ...and the new doom on the flat screen..I have No Man Sky on preorder and looking forward to the experience

Played all of the originals at 43. I’d hope I could still hold my own in a FPS like Dayz etc. Looking forward to getting back into Elite as well. I’ve been in no rush to get the new high end rig as the longer the better with regard to hardware. Not played games really since 2007 on BF2 PR Mod.

Having played the original elite playing online finally in it will be a joy. Typing on a 2004 Nov Build Pc just now. The new Ipad Air max 2 takes away much of the strain but used daily to browse, email ect. I actually thought its times was up a few weeks back when it would not power on, nothing. Amazed that a split new ATX power pack fitted perfected and back up and running in twenty minutes.

Hope I play for a good few years to come, at least I can keep up on the driving games on the consoles with a 14 year old.

I was enjoying planetside 2 for a time, until the all access codes dried up
Theres no way to pay monthly for that thing using paypal
(the steam method still requires your card info)

Just floating around until I bump into a game I like

Doom wasn't bad

I figure its just a gaming funk as usually mmo's are like crack and even there none interest me atm

Just about in my 30's :).
I've struggled to find anything I can enjoy playing over the last few months. Have mainly been playing Football Manager but the match engine can be massively frustrating at times. Minecraft is great but gets tiresome, it needs an adventure mode. Loads of games on my Steam wishlist but I know most won't keep my attention for long. So on Saturday I ended up buying Red Dead Redemption for £6. It may be 6 years old but it's still a superb game!

I am 31 and I have been playing a whole range of games lately.

Red Faction: Guerilla
FTL - 150+ hours on steam
7 Days to die - 450+ hours on steam
Wolfenstein: the new order
Supreme Commander: FA - 100+ hours on steam
Bioshock Infinite
Half life games (including the first one)

I stopped playing multiplayer FPS when I was about 22, I upgraded to LCD's and I just couldn't play any more (used to play a lot of counter strike 1.4 I think it was) - I still have the same LCD's too so no chance in getting back on it either. I am also very tight when it comes to buying games, normally pay between £1 and £3!

57 here. :D

Been playing The Division since launch, 1000 hours and counting. First online game, nothing else appealed as much as this.

Played a good few hundred hours of the BL franchise, ME and countless other single player games.
Hoping to do some BL2 CO-OP with a group from OCUK, never tire of this game.

42 Here and struggling to find a game I can really stick with to be honest..

Just gone back to Eve Online after a few years absence, I can see it becoming a second life again (maybe).

I have a load of games on steam but just lacking the 'umph' to play them.

Stellaris mainly at the minute. Still got a player career going in Fifa 16 but it's hugely frustrating when you can't get transferred or loaned out, so after this next world cup I'll probably ditch that.

Kinda looking forward to No Mans Sky if I'm honest....

Hey I finally qualify for this! I'm playing mostly TW Warhammer, but have played a lot of rocket league, civ 5 and battlefleet gothic lately too. Having a bit of a strategy Renaissance of late.

Started MGS V and love the horse riding, reminds me of red dead redemption as a poster referred to above.

Really liking the look of battlefield 1 but not sure I'll cope with another mp fps game. Bf4 whilst excellent frustrates me as everyone is so pro at it bar me!

hi, sorry to interrupt, I'm disabled and can only use 1 hand, I would like to know of some good point and click games I could try, here are my current games I play

Sim City
Sims 4
City Skylines
Need for speed
Football Manager 16
euro truck simulator 2

p.s nothing that require quick reaction times

Civ5?

For point and click maybe Machinarium

Almost 45.. Mostly playing XCOM2, Subnautica, Fallout 4 and SW:KOTOR, only because I am working away during the week and spend whole weekends travelling home to see wife & kids. I did play The Division, but latest Underground update will not run on my MSI GX70 Destroyer laptop, due to AMD cease drivers support for the mobility GPU. Last night, restarted Ark...

I love RPGs but do not like the way they've gone. 20 hours of gameplay, 11 of those are cutscenes. I find the older i get, the less tolerant i become. Or im just an ass.

So i keep falling back to TF2 as a casual time killer, TW:Warhammer as a challenge.

Last huge release I think i loved was Skyrim. GTAV was kinda fun until the Grind. Ive probably played BG2 more than all other games combined.

I just had a thought - have you tried a mouse like a RAT MMO7? I have one of these and just thought that you could map the hat switch or other buttons to WASD which would open up a lot of other options for you (eg: Talos Principle, perhaps even FO4 with a VATS build although I understand that may be a bit of a push).

Not sure how much fatigue that would potentially cause but it might be worth looking at. May give it a go myself and report back.
