What did you do to your bike today?

Fitted my scala rider g4 and tested it out. The sound quality from the speakers are excellent and it coupled with my galaxy s2, its very smart. Overall, would reccomend it to anyone!

The only reason I bought it was to have it through my phone to listen to the gps, but Ill be starting vblogging just like elliotMD, so should come in handy with bike meets etc.

Wallet rapage :(

I discovered the chain on my RSV has developed some tight spots, which would explain why the chain seems to have been getting increasingly noisy recently. The sprockets are just starting to show signs of wear so ordered myself the highest grade Tsubaki C&S set....£176 with delivery, ouch.

I thought it was worth protecting my investment, so ordered a Tutoro automatic oiler, £45. Chap in work has one on his SV650, and his chain has stayed looking like new since he's had it and they are extremely simple to install.

It's also due an oil change as well, but I've been using the bargain priced Hein Gericke 10W50 fully synthetic up until now, but of course HG are now closed. Decided to support a local(ish) company so ordered 4 liters of full synthetic Fuchs Silkolene 10W50 from Opie - another ~£40.

Oh well, better than spending it on beer and cigs I suppose!

Replaced sprockets and chain with a nice new set!
Only one ropey moment, back wheel proved a bugger to get back on - over rocked the bike by accident and just about managed to control the fall so there was no damage... was using a rear paddock stand but tried doing it all on my own. Had much better success when I asked the missus to come and push the axel through while I held the wheel.
Rides much smoother now, feels better. Now just to get the damn black gunk off my hands!! damn running out of gloves!

I was out just driving around some of the roads around mile end, when I suddenly get smacked in the head with a almost full lucozade bottle, some kids on 1 of the estates I was passing obviously thought it would be funny, luckily wasn't going fast as I was following a learner driver, so I maintained balance ok, was more the shock of something like that hitting me in the head completely out of the blue, no damage done thank heavens, but it was enough for my body to hit me with shot of adrenalin.

Is it me or are kids just completely clueless about what damage their actions might cause?

That coupled with parents that just don't give a toss

I had a close shave with a large bird (blackbird I think) that took off from the edge of a dual carriageway early on Sunday morning and flew right into my path, level with my head. Obviously it being early and there being no cars around I was "pressing on". Fortunately I moved my head as far as I could to one side and it whacked me on the shoulder pretty hard.

Put my CBR600 up for sale today, winter's coming (yes in like 3 months but would rather sell now before it gets much more difficult to shift) and due to a back problem I'm not really enjoying the bike at all atm. Still got my 94 cbr so I'm not completely away from bikes just gotta wrestle it back off of my dad once the back is better :D
