What did you do to your bike today?

Lol bld are a nightmare

They phoned up on Monday to sort the collection of my bike an dropping of a courtesy bike for next Monday. Said they'd call back today to sort out what bike I'd get

Got a voicemail on Wednesday saying "great the bike will be dropped off saturday" phone them back a nd say there's no one home till Monday. "Oh okay well sort it for monday"

Get a voice mail today saying they'll be arriving this afternoon.

Phone them back tell them there's no one there till Monday get told ah of well we'll rearrange for Monday.

Just got a call "hey its mike from bld I'm just outside your house with the hire bike"

...

BLD were awesome with me.

Almost brand new bike the day after my crash, so wasn't even inconvenienced for one day (had to get to work). They got my helmet paid for by the other insurer even though I wasn't covered for that, bike repaired perfectly (a bit slow, but I've heard that's normal). No charge for the courtesy bike, again something I don't have on my policy. No issues whatsoever.

just finished cleaning it

@clovis yh,you want a bigger bike, the crouch position is more/less on bigger bikes it depends on the model,supermoto/trial bikes are more upright, you can still get lower back ache though from sitting bolt upright sometimes

What are some other bikes like the KTM duke 125?

Yeah don't waste money buying a different 125, they're all as slow as each other.

Spend that money on getting your full licence and buying your first big bike.

Yeah I love being out on a bike, I think I might need a bike where I don't lean forward as much, I find with the cbr, all your weight is on the handle bars, you can't grip them lightly as you're being pushed down on them, a more upright bike will allow me to have a looser grip on the bar.

If you have the correct riding position your elbows will be bent, and you should be using your stomach muscles to do most of the support. You are probably riding with your elbows locked out, which is a very common mistake, and doesn't give you good control of the bike.

What would happen if i put two stroke oil into my petrol tank? I have about 500ml in a bottle and was wondering....

Nice front fender Wazza, Make me want to finally try and carbon wrap mine. I keep looking at the wrap and thinking effort!

yh those are red fox carbon look fenders, ive wrapped a bit of the frame and the bracket that holds the clocks its fairly easy to do

only real carbon I have is the rear hugger

Outside of high end competitive stuff where every gram counts or CF makes the most sense material wise for it's properties then Carbon Fibre is for looks alone.

Personally, if I am going to change something on my bike to look like CF, I'll use CF despite the cost. A wrap may come close but I'd rather not bother in that case.

Yeah, the KTM duke is expensive though, I would rather trade mine in and pay a small outlay, if I want a duke it's looking like I'll need to add around £1.2k in cash plus my bike!
Yeah, but they do hold their value though, that's another thing to remember. But I wouldn't bother changing, just do your license and jump on something bigger. ;)

I bought the KTM to try out the brand and see if I like the duke, I wanted to jump straight onto the 690 model, that's even more expensive than my current duke. :p
try and stick it out on your current bike till you pass your test? then move on to a more comfy machine
+1

Thanks,Its not bad for an oldie

I don't believe you that you nearly have 60k miles on it, it looks far to good! :p
