What did you do to your bike today?

Kawasaki only green for me, I wouldn't own a different colour Kawasaki. Although, I did nearly buy a white ER6-N the same day as I bought my KTM. :p

I think I'm too young for a Triumph Boneville, will get one when in my mid 30's.

 Now, now... Mid 30's ain't old! I see a stereotypical Bonne rider as a guy in his 50's, wearing a jacket that's older than his first grandson, with a ****pot open face helmet and goggles.

I'm mid 30's and I'm FAR too young to get a bonneville :D

On the subject of kwakka's - never ever liked them, they do nothing for me. ER6N was a very 'meh' bike, their cheaper stuff like the er6 and versys just doesn't have any appeal, and the high end stuff like the ZX-10 or, erm... that other bike they do... well IMO there's better out there, from Germany or Italy, or even Japan. The only kawasaki I'd have is a ZRX1200 in tommy lawson colours.

Mind you it's the same with Suzuki. The GSXR 600/1000 leaves me limp. SV650 is a great little starter bike, but other than that... meh. At least with Honda they have some mildly different stuff like the V4 engined bikes, but they're not that much better.

Green is too common IMO,black looks stealthy and mean, also like white and the Kawasaki blue, the yellow older zx6r looks nice aswell

The sx with the red front fairings for me. It's a nice shade of red.

Fortunately we all like different things, be it manufacturers/colours etc., and that is a good thing. It'd be a bland world if we all liked the same things.

I owned a Green ER6-F for about 7 days before some sod stole it. It was a lovely bike, loud, scary and fast well compared to my NC700s. Weirdly the one thing I really liked about it was how easy it was to get into neutral.

Just looking through the bike makers websites, some manufacturers need to pull their finger out and get designing and making bikes that push the industry forward.

Looks at the Suzuki range... snore. :( Ok, they're cheap. aaaand that's it. They still sell the bandit ffs! :D

Kawasaki - they have the H2 and H2R, which have moved fantasy sport bikes up another level, but the H2 is still the same BHP as all the other cheaper litre sports bikes, and it's £22k. The H2R is like the bugatti veryon, amazing but not really relevant to everyday sports bikes.

Honda aren't that much better, although they do have some interesting bikes which are pushing development in other areas, like the NC750.

Yamaha are properly knocking stuff out the park. The new R1, the MT tracer, the new cafe racer/scrambler style MT-07.

BMW the same. The new S1000XR, the S1000R, the R nine-T.

KTM have some great stuff going like the 1290 adv, and are pushing the technology with cornering ABS etc.

Triumph are doing some nice stuff and I thing a refresh is due soon - not pushing the envelope but they have a niche as a british bike maker and that lovely triple engine.

Then, the italians.

Aprilia. the Tuono v4 and RSV4 are up there with the best of the best.

Ducati. New Multistrada, 1299 panigale, scrambler.

MV Agusta - some stunning bikes like the Brutale Dragster RR.

It's bad that these huge japanese campanies like Suzuki and Honda with billions of R&D funds available to them are bringing out less exciting stuff than tiny italian makers. Ok Yamaha is pretty big too, but they haven't stopped with the new bikes for the past 2 years!

but why change perfection?

the bandit is a damn good machine and still is,they just refine them every so often

next major step will be electric bikes, cant wait tbh

EDIT: a lot of it is down to cost probably, its cheaper easier to tweak the styling a little/engine tweaks rather than design a whole new machine from the ground up

Yamaha were pretty much dead in the water with their bikes, the R1 basically remained unchanged for around 7 years, with them being over priced as well as stale. The new MT range, and certainly updating the R1, has made a huge difference.

My dad's '15 R1 is just insane.

Also... JP... get that Panigale off my screen before I end up buying one!

The guys over at Euro Cycles are pretty friendly ;)

I always think about buying an old bike to keep at my parents in Bradenton but after a few days of driving over there I kind of forget about it.
Getting caught in a bad thunderstorm would give me nightmares.

I actually think they are literally a couple miles north of my house... but i've spent so much on this R6 now :P

You need to come back over!

The Panigale is the top bike for not turning up for a service if it's raining :D

I would probably trailer mine :p wet mode is fine if you get caught out in it (I did the other week) but I wouldn't intentionally go out in it, the tyres just don't look right for wet weather!

Would be rude not to go and have a look then!

I will be back over later this year I hope :)

Ok, I meant more like 40+ as half of your life has past already so its time to slow down a little. :p

why is ER6N 'meh', what else would you buy within that price range? I saw a 2014 ER6N with 663 miles sell for £3600, now the prices gone up as its summer. But its not the first ER6N which went for that much with similar mileage...

GSXR leaves you limp? Seriously? Well their new bikes look crap, lets be honest... But their GSXR K7, K8, K9 and K10 are nice looking bikes. Same with Honda their older bikes look really nice, but their newer bikes looks crap as well. Well maybe not crap, but ugly as hell... same thing, no? :p

I think green is best, white depends on what bike we're talking about. Black is nice, but there're so many black bikes and cars... I just got bored of this colour, its too blunt.

Exactly, although Suzuki GSXR 2009-2010 and BMW S1000RR 1st Gen are probably the most beautiful sport bikes on the market. I almost forgot about MV Augusta F4. :p
It'd be like everyone getting Intel because AMD doesn't keep up anymore :(
You've Intel, depending on your needs Intel is better 98% of the time.
Says the guy who has AMD GPU! :p

Nothing compares to italian though for styling, japs get close on rare occasions
Well Italians do have nice designs, but... but!

Isn't she beautiful?

I saw you thread, its a shame really that we live in such a world... Cutting hands for stealing would be a good punishment, not many would dare you touch something that's not theirs!

Think I'm strange as I like riding in the rain :p

Adds to the challenge on my commute!

I like riding at night, but its pretty dangerous on a bike. I would love to go out on a really loud bike for a night trip around Tokyo... LA is also an option.

There's a bike which is Italian which I would probably buy, Aprilia RSV4. But for that price I could get S1000RR...

Rear indicators swapped. Had to use mole grips to take the old ones off as they were well and truly stuck.

Putting the new ones on was easy enough as I was able to reuse the old fittings. I did have to refit one of the bullet connectors though as it was closed on the shielding and not the copper. The bulb on the same side is faulty so will have to get a replacement today
