What did you do to your bike today?

That's a shame about the battery, would expect it to last more than a year.

This is the bike that I bought 2-3 months ago, as mentioned above I bought it at a good price as it had a bit of cosmetic damage:

And here is where the exhaust bracket had cracked recently, you can't see under the chromed cover, but there is another part which had also cracked, the cover was the only part holding it on at this end (and yes that is my attempt at using epoxy, it didn't last long):

Had that welded back together this morning by a place in Small Dole called BodyWorkz, they did a great job for a good price.

Next to do are the grips/bar ends and paint some scratches (luckily my girlfriends uncle does auto painting), was thinking of purchasing these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal...for-7-8-22mm-Bars-/110960748251?#ht_873wt_111 does anyone know if I would need anything else to fit these on, or would it simply be a case of taking the old ones off and putting these in their place? I'm not thick, but only have a small amount of knowledge about these things! :D

MOT'd today.

2 advisories

Rear pads are close to the end of their life (I have some ready to go on when they are dead).

Slightly notchy on the steering. I need to look that up to see what that means exactly.

probably steering head bearings are gone or on the way out, your lucky he didnt fail it on that as it should be a smooth action from one lock to the other

^^
No Ramp? or piece of wood!?

Today I did this!

Swapped out the Concave spring washer at the back of the clutch, hopefully that will sort the launch problem, if not I will try the other drill mod!
As usual cleaning off the old gasket took most of the time!

Oh and fitted the speedohealer, just need to get out with a GPS now so I can calibrate it.

Got a few jobs out the way recently and it now feels better than it ever has.

Calipers changed for R6 calipers and brake fluid replaced.

Leaking fork seal replaces with genuine Yamaha ones

Headlight bulb changed for a brighter one

Scottoiler large resevoir refilled

New front tyre

New clutch cable

Here's the ER-6F I bought yesterday, unloaded and cleaned up a little.

To do: get it serviced, new pair of tyres, double-bubble screen, sort downpipes out (steel wool and ACF as suggested in other thread :) ) possibly different mirrors depending if I can get used to these. Chain is very slack so that needs doing too. Sort the vibration out.

As ElliorR has done also - sorted the idle speed adjuster, it really is that easy! (was idling a bit high so dropped to 1.3k)

Noticed some people talking about engine idle speeds. Would it be recommended to set it a little higher for those colder days?

My ride's a Bandit 600 '99 (with manual choke) so I tend to max that out for a minute or so when warming the bike up. Engine idles around the 1k area once it's settled and warm.

Don't worry I did, found a bucket at work and washed it off with a few full buckets and wiped down the tyres!
Got a rag place at the bottom now to soak up the drips until I can remove the rear calliper tonight.

At least you don't need the rear brake to be able to ride it home.
