What did you do to your bike today?

Ordered some Daytona Road Star GTX boots at the weekend, need something to fit my wide feet in and nothing else has width options so fingers crossed they'll fit!
Bit pricey though :o

I have those boots - bought them about 3 months ago and been very happy with them, even in utterly torrential rain!

Expensive, but quality kit!

If there's one thing my dad taught me it was always buy the best you can afford so I thought I'd treat myself so I can get out of my Richa WP (waterproof as long as it's only a shower ) boots that are literally falling to pieces after only having them for about 9 months and 3 of those I wasn't riding!

they will feel terrible at first, liek you have your feet in treacle, hate breaking in new boots

no feel for the pedals haha

^ A non-boot question, did you get a chest mount or head mount for that DBPOWER Action Cam?

Edit

Any more vids from a different view? :D

Yeah, it came with a couple of head mounts and various straps so you could probably get a ghetto chest strap going using a backpack shoulder straps or something.
The dbpower works with all the gopro mounts and stuff, so just get a gopro chest mount :)

I don't have any other views at the moment, sorry, it was bought purely for rear view as I already have a Drift on my head.

Sent it to Honda after I noticed that the accident I had may have caused a wee leak and my insurance company can't seem to bothered to help.

Assuming there's nowt seriously wrong I'll get some heated grips fitted for winter too and I have a new SJ4000 I got a few weeks ago to go along with my heavily damaged but still functional Ion Air pro. If you hit me in the future I'll have the footage in 3D and from different angles. :D

A head strap should do, easier to take off and put on.

Any particular brand for the SD card, Samsung or Sandisk?

I think I had an old Lexar 32GB lying around. At the moment I have it mounted to the top of the helmet which looks so crap. I'm just waiting to get the new helmet then I'd putting it on my chin. I don't like Go pro style cameras for helmets but you can't beat the price.

Bloke pulled into a bus lane on me couple of weeks ago. Bike looked ok but the next when the rain stopped I noticed a bit of fluid on my trousers and around the radiator.

Oi cheeky you know what I meant. :D

Sounds like you were being a bit too optimistic there! They aren't there to help, they're there to make money. ;)

Yeah I know but the chap pulled into a bus lane at a time when cars shouldn't have and they seemed well up for it until again I mentioned that I wasn't really injured.

If I had the footage to prove he was at fault, had he admitted liability, had I been even slightly injured and had I wanted a courtesy bike, they would have been all over me like they were previously but this time I don't think they want to deal with it.

Not sure about Lexar, but Sandisk and Samsung looking at tests & specs seem to be good.

I don't really care what the camera looks like, as long as its cheap and produces decent footage.

You need proper exhaust, I had similiar situation last time when a guy decided to cut me, I revved the hell out of my bike (the horn is pathetic) and he quickly move back to his lane nearly hitting another car... Some people shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel.

Fluid on your trousers.... okaaay so you got a little bit overexcited I see :p

I'm going to start recording with my Cam this week, i don't want to stick it to my Shoei though, don't want the pad leaving a mark or glue behind from the sticky pad.

Ran into a friend that used to race SV's and I told him of the ticking/rattle. He recons it's cam chain tensioners or clutch basket - Which is much better than worst case.

Hopefully get it to a garage tomorrow and get it sorted

I wish I didn't care but I hate the gopro style particularly on top of the helmet and I much prefer the tubular cam on the side. As for decent footage a genuine SJ4000 is good but the Xiaomi Yi produces amazing footage for the price. I kinda wish I'd have bought that instead. I'm also still seriously considering getting an Innovv C3 and having that wired up to the bike.

I'm not sure that would have saved me as he claimed he saw me and still moved out, but as I'm now a bit worried about my safety, the accident shook me up, I'm probably gonna get a louder exhaust I'll paint my new black helmet with Plastidip and wear hi-viz braces.

For that to have scenario to have happened you must be imagining me in some odd looking textiles.
