What did you do to your bike today?

When people say the brakes on the sv are terrible, I disagree. Before I did the caliper and mc overhaul, they stopped quite well, but you was 30-40% through the lever till you found the power. But now the pressure is there instantly and not spongy at all. Overall, very happy!

I agree they are not bad, you just have some play before it really starts doing anything.

That lack of feeling is a bit crap when the brakes get wet though as you don't know how much more braking you can do before you hit the limit

you could put some chicken strips on those if you leaned over far enough:D

went in Kawasaki today and drooled at this for a while

The Stay Puft safety method

:D

good going :D

Cheers,

Just get them delivered directly to the garage! That's what I do and I assumed everyone else did, obviously not! :p

But that's boring... :o

Edit:

Did something similar myself once :D

Nice, its all about creativity haha :D I couldn't fit mine tyres like that, had no room for me to sit on the bike.

BTW I might just get them delivered to the garage next time...

Fitted new Yoshimura RS 5 and tail tidy. Rear end of bike looks a lot better and sounds awesome at higher RPM's.

Next up is double bubble screen light smoke and some ASV levers in black. Also steering damper is needed. May get some after market indicators as well at some point.

Nice, I think Yoshi is probably one of the best exhausts to go with CBR's, I bet it sounds beefy and angry. :)

BTW

How long did it take you guys to get rid of your chicken strips? I literally have couple mm's of non used tyre surface, but I'm scared that I'll go too far and fall down... But the the confidence on new tyres is better, the breaking distance has also improved I think.

Edit

When I was going to the mechanics to get my tyres changed I saw 4-5 GS1200's fully loaded with cases and luggage. I wonder where they were going, or where they were coming back from. :)

Hows your new camera IC3?

I'm waiting for Mini HDMI to HDMI cable, the camera is out of focus. :( I'm in at work till 22:00 tomorrow, I'll sort out the mount on my helmet on Friday. But I'll probably upload some videos later this week depending on when the cable comes in.

BTW What tyres do you have on your duke? I think the new tyres raised the bike a little and now I can go further (smaller chicken strips), but I still have this weird feeling of going down with the bike when I start to scrape with my boots.

Edit

Oh yeah, did you fit the new tail tidy? :D
