What did you do to your bike today?

dockie invest in a few disc locks aswell, and wire up a discreet nobble switch

if your fuel tap unscrews turn it to off and pull the tap/nob off,i can do that with my bike

@Monkey yeah great if you can catch them in the act, smash their faces in,i caught a drunkard the other day eyeing my bike up,i shouted oi to him n off he went calling me a ***** lmao

@ic3 lol no

its only if it goes completely empty/below the drain hole that's in the res

the fluid might be old,it degrades over time, seals will be fine as its a newish bike, pity your so far away I would have bled them for you

Knowing my luck it could be the seals though, I'll get some break fluid and bleed them. I did ride the bike harder than the previous owner, so you could be right about the fluid being degraded. The previous tyres were square, the bike hopped when you tried to lean. New tyres allow me to lean now, best thing I bought for this bike yet.

its pump,pump,pump,pump....hold it,twist nipple till you feel it go soft, tighten nipple then pump, pump, pump again...hold it twist the nipple till you feel it go soft then rinse and repeat (oooh sexual)

all the time keeping an eye on the res so it doesn't run dry/top it up to the fill line

I use an old jam jar and a length of tropical fishtank air pipe, fill the jar up with brake fluid halfway and keep the end of the pipe submerged below the fluid level in the jar at all times

I found this video, good explanation and professional.

Got some photos of before + after of my tail tidy. :)

I know! Now all i need is to remove my L plates and it'll be how i want it. :)

Booking my DAS Tomorrow! :)

Good luck with your DAS, don't thank me as you might jinx it! :p

BTW

- Brake Fluid level is correct
- Pistons are coming out slowly and not evenly.
- the Pistons are not coming back in as the pads slightly touch the disc whilst the wheel is in motion which creates a very annoying and embarrassing squeak.
- The brake lever is spongy, but doesn't go in all the way as there's resistance.

Oh yeah, the pistons are clean and there doesn't seem to be a leak anywhere... So changing the brake fluid should do the job?

What happened to yours? I always make sure I get a courtesy bike if mine has to go into the shop (or someone decides they want to knock me off).

Wrote off, claim is taking forever the other party paid out on a non prejudice basis (ie not admiting fault but it means they don't have to cover cost of a hire bike etec) but I don't want to buy a bike and get screwed for insane insurance price because it's an ongoing claim

No it's in the garage sitting next to the BSA and two zx6's,I'm swamped with bikes atm

Need to grow a few more arses so I can ride em all ahah

What do you people think of cafe racers? I wouldn't buy one, but there's something in them that I really like... just can't tell what it is.

I think they're cool. Stick any sort of twin into a tubular frame and make it loud and it's job done. Some are dumb though, like the pictur eyou posted. The front wheel is stupid. They're essentially just stylised retros though, or in some cases simply modded vintage bikes.

Cafe racers are nice but they have to be British IMO,those are sex on legs

@IC3 they are but you get used to them,I can't afford to run a 1litre everyday, commuting
