What did you do to your bike today?

Taking her to a meet tonight. It was recently moved from a park just outside town to right in the center of town. Now that it has a burger king, costa etc right there the attendance just keeps getting bigger.

Last week the 300 bike mark was broken.

Not the best pic but you get the idea

Just splashed out on another pair of Hood jeans as my old ones have no where near enough movement in them for me to get comfy on the SV, yes I'm blaming the change of bike rather than the fact I've gotten a little chubby :o

I did love the old pair on the YBR though top quality bit of kit with much better protection than the RST jeans I'm currently commuting in.

It's just a pity all of their denim jeans are very Clarkson but I quite like the combat style anyway.

Also went with the level 2 D3O armour now I've got a bike with a little more pace :D

I've got a pair of hood jeans, in the tan colour (it's darker than on the website pictures) as I didn't want the normal blue jeans. Brilliant things they are. 36" inside leg one for me so they're long enough as my legs are very bent on my bike.

The only problem with them is they never seem to have them held in stock when I want some.

Waited 10 days for my last pair to be despatched and apparently this pair won't be ready to send till the 26th!

Yeah that was the same with mine - but their customer service is great, I ordered a set of 34" waist jeans and they were far too big, they'd sent the replacement 32" ones before I sent the other pair back :)

Worth the wait though.

I almost made it to that last week, we made it as far as London road to meet a mate, then ended up getting a roosters and then making lots of noise around town before going home :p:D

Had a route ready for today and would give my bike a proper clean... but I woke up with a kidney stone and peeing blood :(
So had to stay in bed most of the day taking Buscopan

Checked my rear tyre, it's frightening how fast it seems to wear down, but then I have done 5500 miles on it already! I reckon there's still a good couple of thousand left in it at least, maybe 3 or 4 - it's always hard to tell how much it's worn by.

Has your rear tyre started to square off?

A bit yeah, but then I do 200 miles a week (so probably 75% of my mileage) commuting so any tyre will square off. It's nowhere near as bad as my previous tyre, that was more square than round!

Edit: about 4000 miles of the 5500 is commuting miles.

I have a really bad oil leak:(its that bad its spraying onto the side fairing a little

@paul,yeah they tend to wear really quickly towards the end of the tyre's life, only done around 3k miles on mine and they still look new so far

Time to roll out one of the other bikes in your collection Wazza!

Got the weekly Get Geared newsletter this afternoon and ended up splashing out on some furygan valta winter gloves :o they don't look anywhere near as bulky as others I've tried so hopefully I won't lose all my clutch and throttle control with these ones.

Ooooh cheeky,

I need to spend n get the bits done on it,I'm kinda neglecting it lately, been like that now for about 2 years

Just done an insurance quote on a KTM 1290 superduke R, because, well... 1290 superduke GT... :o

5000 miles a year, fully comp, garaged, commuting included:

£780 based on having licence for 1 year and 1 years NCD
£650 based on 2 years licence and 2 years NCD (which by the time I'm in the position to buy a 2nd bike I will have)

Quite reasonable really :eek::D

Now, just to find the 15 grand for the 1290 Superduke GT rather than the 8-9 grand for the multistrada I was budgeting for... :(:p

Haha, yeah obviously this is the pre-production model - think it's due to be launched in the next few weeks.

Realistically, it'll be out of my budget for a while (tbh I wouldn't be surprised if it launches at £17k, especially if what they're saying about it having MORE than 180bhp is true!) but it'll be something to look at in a few years when it's down to about £10-12k.
