What did you do to your bike today?

Zoom H2n will be on the rainforest's black friday deal at 4:40pm tomorrow. I remember someone wanted a recorder, it could go down to 40-50 quid! :p

Thanks, will keep an eye on that one! You got a link for the deal? You can link Amazon stuff here as long as it isn't something OcUK sells.

My Suzuki SFV650 Gladius is taking a rest in this cold and bad weather, actually I've never ridden it in the rain since new.
My 50cc scooter had a problem and I need to replace the ignition barrel, after 5 days using public transport, I could not do it anymore and bought another Scooter, but this time a 125cc.
Now I have time to fix the 50cc without a rush and might sell it or keep as a spare.

3x road tax, 3x insurances, 3x maintenance, resident parking permit, petrol and it is still cheaper than use public transport.

Geez it's raining again today, I give up, doesn't look like there's much chance of me doing those few jobs before going back to work.

Bunch of women with your heated gloves and grips. I'll stick to my manly leggings and top thank you :p

Must say, merino under layers are awesome, they make such a difference.

Can you really call us women while praising your thermal undies. :p

I disagree as Gumtree has been real good to me over the years, You do have to dive straight in though & ring them then you can work out from there within a few minutes whether it's worth following up. Also with Selling you can pretty much ignore everybody who doesn't bother ringing you, 1 message/email to see if it's still for sale or a few questions then onto the moby, Anything else just ignore.

It is a dodgy time of the year to sell a bike though as you have to remember most are on monthly wages & there's only 2 pay days left before Xmas.

One alternative that I've used successfully is Swapz as you can Swap your bike for a Decent easy to sell motor.

I'll raise you I'm still riding with no thermal liners or base layers you big jessy, I just get very cold hands :p

What Brand? I have the Oxford ones and while they're kinda warm disappointingly they don't get hot which means they keep the chill off your hand rather than really keeping you warm. I've ditched them for heated grips this year.

Gerbing, used the 2nd to lowest setting on them this morning and my hands were close to getting a little sweaty which is great considering my finger tips would normally be ice by the time I get to the office.
Apparently at their top setting they'll kick out 57 degrees at an ambient of 0 and to be honest I'd be inclined to believe them so far.

I swapped to thermals on Monday? was it Monday that it was -degrees?
Then back to t-shirt and compression shorts tue/wed because its back warm again!

I was going to buy those last year but they were a fair bit more expensive than the Oxford ones and I couldn't at the time believe they were worth it and annoyingly one review suggested you needed to also shell out for the additional control unit as they can get so hot they burnt his hands.

Yeah not cheap at £149.99 but that's the cost of heated grips plus decent winter gloves at least so I'm not too fussed, plus these heat the back of your hand all the way from the top to your finger tips which makes more sense than having grips heating your palm and the wind chilling the back.

They come with a controller so you can take them down to almost nothing, they also come with a warning never to start them on the highest setting and to work up to that if needed or else you'll almost certainly end up burnt.

Yeah I noticed that they all seem to come with the controller now but last year they were around £150 without the controller which is insane especially considering that the heat controls are built into my Oxford gloves it's just that they're not warm enough.

A £3 controller was probably cheaper than dealing with burns claims :D

Adjusted the chain today, the bike feels so much smoother now and no longer jerks on and off the throttle. Can't believe what a difference it has made.

Thanks. Didn't realise it'd just be the normal product page otherwise I would have just searched :D

Yeah, theres a list of products to which you can get into via main page e.g. black friday deals or cyber monday. On there you've upcoming, missed and current products on sale. ;)

Found it in that list, thanks :)

Doesn't look like it's going to be particularly cheap though. Average discount seems to be around 20-30% on this stuff, with a max I've seen of 60% which is still £72. A good deal, but still a fair bit to pay for something that I might use once a week in the summer.
