What did you do to your bike today?

I think a good footpump is the best piece of kit to own,im still searching for a good one, might get my broken one welded as that was decent

Yup definitely. I just have a standard vertical bicycle pump one which does the job perfectly, then I check pressure after with my decent gauge. It'd be a pain to pump from flat with it, but for top ups it's perfect.

lol,new this new that new everything, the only original part is the headlight bulb?:D:p

you need to whittle your bikes down to one,you only have one backside anyway

(but its always nice to tinker)

Every garage and petrol station here has a free air pump station, and there is one 30m from my house :D

I see people doing this all the time. It baffles me. Your tyres are hot from riding/driving and your setting your pressures whilst the tyre is hot. You wont get an accurate reading, not to mention the error of margin in those machines.

Lucky for you 30m doesn't do anything to warm your tyres.

I need to do something,i haven't checked the pressures for months now:(bought a cheap £5 one and the guage on it reads a constant 40psi,useless

might put some angled valve extensions and start using local garage

I have a draper pressure gauge that's pen size that I keep in my "boot". And yeah, 30m does not warm up the tyres so no issues there.

The machines here are accurate to the exact PSI according to my draper pressure gauge.

Why lock the 650 away? Been using mine every day without an issue. The rain even gave it a wash today! :D

When I bought it brand new, it was suppose to be summer's toy, doesn't worth to take it out for commuting as I live less than 3 miles away from work and my scooter does a great job on that.
Also I never took it out on the rain, I wanna keep it like that, at least for now ;)

actually I changed the headlight bulb as well lol.. for halogen.
Well the front tyre, engine and frame are still original parts :D

I've got a Draper analogue gauge off Amazon. Cheap and decent, flexible hose and 45 degree angled valve connector, is nice on the bike. My first one lasted 3 years before it started mis-reading. I used it every day at work however so PLENTY of use.

Draper 69924 is the model.

I prefer the completely rigid ones, but you have to get the right one for you bike (straight or 90 degree head).

The Halfords £10 has really good ratings for accuracy when people have checked on their machines. I always like to have two though - if they both read the same, then it's accurate enough. If one is off, then I get another and see which one matches. Seems to be an ok system!

Still wouldn't mind one that can be calibrated though, for peace of mind.
