What did you do to your bike today?

Replaced fuel pump relay, fuel filter and fuel pump. Quite happy as this is the biggest piece of work Ive done on a bike on my own

Just wait till you have to do carb work... its an absolute pita to take the tank and all three layers of the airbox off over and over again.

Do you like the bike?

Just getting to know it atm and the weather has meant that I've kept it upright atm. But yeah I'm enjoying it

Yeah Wazza it's on my list to do....you should see the manifold

Last of the steel frames those bikes. You will be suprised how well these stick to the road in every condition. I had full leans in wet weather with my f3.

I miss it so much. The noise..the revs..the 7k power band.. the ease of throwing her into corners late and just being forgiven.. changing gear at 10k.. downshifting without so much as squirm from the rear.. now she just looks at me sadly whilst growing rust on the discs

Hit a massive pothole on the way home, honestly it was ridiculous, didn't see it in the rain, front wheel took a big smack and I guess the back one did too. What should I do here? How does a garage tell if they are buckled etc?

Yeah it's just me getting used to it atm. It doesnt have bar ends on it currently and I'm not used to that. I find my self going to put weight on the end of the handlebars when there is nothing there....

The tyres are a different shape to the SV in that these are more oval (steeper angle so larger contact patch when banked) which I think, will mean me changing the way I ride and I'll have to look at not being lazy and shifting my bum side to side

Does anyone here wax their visor? If so, what do you use?

Can't say I have done this but I have used a spray and it was awful. Wouldnt wax force all water into larger droplets and have more chance of distorting your vision?

I've been watching used bikes for a while now just seeing what I can expect to pay when I get my bike (hopefully next month assuming I pass) and there seems to be quite a selection in the price range I'm looking at (£2500-£3500) but I tend to be ignoring bikes that don't have the crash bobbins/frame sliders on.

It'll be my first bike let alone a first big bike so it's inevitable that I'll drop it so I really want that last line of defence.

Are these bobbins expensive to get fitted? I don't trust myself drilling or cutting the fairing so that's why I hope the one I buy has them on. Otherwise I might have to buy some and go to a garage to get them fitted by someone else

£50-70 for a decent R&G set of crash bungs.

What bikes are you looking at? a lot of bikes don't require any drilling of fairings at all, I personally would avoid any kits that require you to do so.
