What did you do to your bike today?

It was peeing down on my way into work then lovely sunshine then absolutely lashed it down now it's lovely again and lets face it come 5 o'clock when I get out to play it'll be wet again :(

The tyre was due replacing as its nearvthe wear markers but that was the plan for feb/march payday. Im just going to have to stump up 100 spondoolies somehow. Such a pain in my life. Part worns are good for passing an MOT but you will almost always end up with a squared off tyre or a tyre someone has used on different type bike with a different riding style.

Plug/repair it until pay day in feb/march? Should be fine.

I am surprised with the amount of cost saving Wazza does he doesn't run ditchfinders as it is :P

:p Everything I've read about the sporty Maxxis tyres suggest they are actually pretty good.

They used to be called Cheng Shin many years ago, and I had Cheng Shin knobblies on my TS125 when I was 17. Almost no grip in the wet, and they wore incredibly quickly on tarmac.

What size tyres are you looking for ConTRo13R??

180 55 17 z to be uber specific. I was toying with the idea of stretching my spare 160 onto the 5.5 inch rim before deciding that was probably suicide.

For me its all about how they handle in the wet. Dry grip isnt ever an issue for me as im never pushing the limits of a tyre.

I have a pair of part worn Bridgestone T30R tyres in my garage that came off my S1000XR last year, I was supposed to put them back on before selling it. I replaced them with PR4's as the rear had 3mm left on the centre and thought I'd be pushing my luck going down to Italy and back.

Only thing is they are 120/70 R 17 and 190/55 R 17. You're welcome to them if it gets you out of trouble for a month or two. Let me know if they're anygood to you, no worries if not :)

probably your age but pretty sure you could get it with less excess

EDIT: my bikes started to splutter/cut out ever so slightly on pullaway the last few days, idk what it is,i dropped it to 2nd gear and just below 2k rpm and put a fair bit of load on the engine and again it splutters, higher revs are fine its just on pullaway or at low revs/high loads

I might check the air filter/plugs

I didn't have a chance to test ride SV650SA, it was -20c in Poland, only today it went down to -8c and by the end of today my granddad said it was -6c.

But we had some fun with the handbrake on the icy roads. :D

BTW my mates want to go to Romania during summer, I'm trying to convince them to go somewhere else or is there something to see in Romania on a bike? Planning a trip and I don't have a bike yet hahaha :p
