What did you do to your bike today?

Nope they didn't but im hoping they wont fall apart as the bike is almost new!

Is there I was I can map my bike without paying extortionate prices from the triumph stealership?

New rear tire, oil and filter change also while the back wheel was out packed the three crease nipples one on swing arm and two on the mono shock.

Was at my local dealer for the tire and balancing so I was cheeky and they let me do oil e.t.c :D going to buy myself a bench lift because after using one today was just a joy.

Used one in the past but never had the room but now I going to make room :)

I also pinched some of there chain lube.

Took the new R6 out for the first time today, grinning ear to ear! :D Definitely made the right choice, is quite the improvement over the old R6. Throttle is a lot more responsive, much more low/mid range, gearbox is a lot smoother and that noise

Just need some good weather to do it justice now!

Bit more involved I think on the ST as you have to remove the rear little plastic bits to get the original cans off, but still pretty easy :p

Got a nice 4 day weekend so I have a few bits to be getting on with :)

New rear tyre to go on:

And dreaded new steering race and tapered bearings :D

Also tank grips and R&G bar ends but no photos of them yet.

Oh, I also bought some new gloves, last season's BMW ProWinter gloves for <£70 rather than the ~£120 the current ones are.

Still, Monday morning at -2 was a tad chilly even with the gloves.

Yesterday I repaired the coolant expansion bottle, fitted a new red silicone hose to go from it to the top of the radiator, changed the gearbox oil as the previous owner put a slightly lower viscosity in than I was happy with, cleaned and lubricated the chain, changed the spark plug, fitted new red silicone breather/overflow hoses to the carb, re-seated the choke with RTV sealant after dismantling and cleaning it. Oh and I cleaned/polished the chrome expansion chamber :D

OOooo the kmx 125,that spark plug is fine for a 2 stroke

I fixed an annoying rattle, been plaguing me for months,i was pressing the fairing/screen everything to try n find what it was, took the tank off and found a plastic wire connector close to the frame, moved it away and fixed my rattle

Indeed, I was expecting worse, but I wanted to change it to make sure the fueling was correct. It's harder to gauge on an already worn plug.

Fitted the arrows!!

1. Remove seat and remove rear plastics.

This is what we're left with

Tea break!

4. Fit new mid pipes and springs. (Do not tighten bolts yet)

5. Fit new exhaust hanger brackets

6. Fit one side exhaust
xaU6v7Bl.jpg

Leave fitments slightly loose.

7. Do the same for the other side.

8. Make sure the exhausts line up and your happy with them! This is where the leaving everything loose comes into play.

Once your happy start tightening from the mid pipe up.

Im not 100% on how they line up but they work and I can adjust them at a later date.

Gave her a 10 minute tune up

That seemed nice and simple but what are you going to do about the remap, Triumph dealer or DIY?

Oh and baffles out for the meet?

Yeh I was surprised considering im crap at anything practical. Im gonna chat to a couple of guys I know at garages and see what they suggest.
I might go to mallory and have it custom mapped.

Of course baffles out for the meet :D
