What did you do to your bike today?

@IC3 some wire wool and a tube of autosol, but wire wool on its own will get rid

@jp maybe a res sock will help keep it clear? I know sunlight affects it

all I did today was faff about and carbon fibre wrapped my heel guards, now they wont get scratched up

Will it work on the exhaust pipe and that thing which holds the forks together? It looks worse on their picture than it actually is, but its just a small detail that annoys me... :p Your advice for KTM rusty screws has worked, WD40+Wire Wool.

is the pipe stainless? just use wire wool, and same for the bottom yoke

some clear lacquer sprayed on after will keep it off for a while (yoke and oil cooler)

I will put one on and leave the others exposed as a test :)

Went for a really nice ride with a friend, loads of bikes out and about, got totally frozen though as I stupidly wore my summer gear with only a t-shirt under and the north sea wind was harsh!

I just used some autosol on that bit of my pipe, it's still a bronze colour rather than steel but it got rid of the actual rust.

Good luck getting the oil rad cover off the downpipe is just enough in the way to stop you getting a screw driver perfectly lined up and the screw will be well welded in with all the road crap so you'll probably just round it off. Can you tell I've tried to get mine off :p

My mate had pipes like I've mine, I saw it with my own eyes and this is after he polished it out.

Can anyone guess what bike it is? :p

I get sad enough when I wash it then it gets dirty again, if I spent all my time getting them looking like that I'd cry when they started to go again :D

id say a Kawasaki with those wavy discs?

a nice bronze colour is what you want, thats been highly polished with a polishing wheel/compound id say

Well I didn't do any cleaning or polishing just riding, Gorgeous afternoon here so once I uncovered the bike I couldn't resist getting straight out on it. Some lad in a big 4x4 nearly took me out but even that couldn't spoil the day.

Oh & the lad with the Rust needs 000 gauge wire wool & Autosol.

Ordered it, 2 Meter's of 0000 gauge wire wool and Autosol. :D

Whilst I was at work, I've looked at Renthal Bars, I think Renthal Low Bars will be good. The ultra low seem to be too low for my liking...

Edit This is going on the bike on Monday :D

pop in your local pound shop, you get a mixture of grades all in one bag;)

fairly rough grade to take all the crud off, then fine to finish it with

Jp, use an elastic band to hold the brake lever against the grip over night. This trick works every time

Your lever will be rock solid in the morning
