What did you do to your bike today?

Brake was better this morning but still not what I'd call firm.

Going to the dealership later to at least pull on some demo bikes!

did you bleed the furthest brake caliper to your Master Cylinder first?

Could just be an air

I have adopted the technique of reverse bleeding the calipers, that is, push fluid up through the caliper using a large syringe into the Master Cylinder, saves a lot of time and hassle imo

As a last resort I always bleed from the top by caressing the lever never fails after all the above has been tried.

Much better! Although I would still want smaller indicators? I stuck with my stock ones for a while after doing my tail tidy, then put the R&G LED micro ones on which look much much better. Need to see it from the back really though.

I may look at LED indicators at some point. What sort should I be looking at? Sportsbikeshop don't seem to sell R&G ones from the brief look I've just had. A link to an example would be good if possible.

Did you get a smaller plate aswell?

No, not sure about the look / legality of them.

Which Tail Tidy did you get?

R&G, from Sportsbikeshop.

Yes always furthest away first, I repeated it a few times keeping the res topped up.

Just back from the dealership, had the tech check mine and he said come and see this. We then went round the showroom and pulled on some new bike levers (1299, Diavel, 959 etc) and mine is firmer than every bike except for the Panigale R which is the 30 grand track spec one.

So I guess what I have done with pads and fluid has helped a bit but due to the ABS system and brake hardware the only thing I could do to improve it is a Brembo RCS master cylinder and/or bypass the ABS.

I did a few fast to 20 ish hard on the brakes to really bed the new pads in, the Brembo SC ones are very nice compared to stock, just hope they don't eat my discs now!

7x5 plate would look good on there :D

Have a look on the R&G website, you can stick your bike model and year in. As you have an R&G tail tidy, their LED micro indicators will probably fit straight on with their plug & play in-line resistors.

My R&G micro ones fit right above the number plate on either side, so if yours is the same it'd neaten up that whole area even further.

looks far far better ic3;)

I wrapped my heel guards yesterday, tempted to do the swingarm now but with some glossy type

Cheers wazza300, I was fighting with rear bobs for the paddock stand, I broke two allen keys... 1st went, I hammered a bit bigger one in and that went too. I used a aluminium pipe to put more pressure on it and nothing (even WD40 didn't help, usually every screw goes with it). :( I just left the stock silver ones, not that bothered.

That wrap came out good, have you done it before? I remember when I tried to wrap couple bits for my Raptor 250, it was a disaster :p

They'll be well stuck into the swing arm from all the road grime kicked up, give them a good soaking in plusgas everyday for a week or so then have another go.

That reminds me I could do with whipping mine off and rising out any salt that gotten stuck in there and copper slipping the bolts.

Just a few times, try a bit of heat on the bobbins but careful not to melt anything, paint ect

They might have thread lock on them

Or the advice you seem to get on the FB groups whenever you ask about a stuck/rounded bolt.

Just weld a nut onto it, like having a full welding kit in your back pocket is a prerequisite to working on a bike
