What did you do to your bike today?

I think the mount is part of the front brake lever mount, which is in turn attached to the master cylinder so you'd have to remove fluid from the front brakes, and bleed the system again too - not as simple as just changing a clamp.

Booked it in for it's MOT mid day tomorrow, Dug out my original plate & went & bought a couple of those stick on red reflectors you're s'posed to have on the back. Think I've done all I can so it's just fingers crossed now.

Ahh in that case (cable clutch right?) it's a 10 minute job, if that!

2nd result on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-675-Street-Triple-2009-Handlebar-clutch-lever-mount-bracket-/331798892937?hash=item4d40c15189:g:AvIAAOSwJkJWkZ1-

In fact if it's the same as that, it's a 2 minute job! as all you need to replace is the clamp. 2 bolts off, new on one, 2 bolts back on, job done.

It is the clutch lever yeah, that one you linked though, i can't see any mounting hole for the mirror? Unless that allen key nut is being used as a stopper?

Chain alignment wasn't the cause of my rear wheel wobble so I got home tonight stripped the back wheel off cleaned everything greased it all up and put it all back together. All bearings seemed absolutely fine.
If that doesn't work tomorrow's job is to check the front sprocket and check that's not worked loose some how and moving the chain.
After that if it's still going then I'm going to have to admit defeat and get bent over for the garage to hunt the cause down.

its got an allen key bolt screwed into it,where the mirror mounts (edit:£25 for that? robbing git)

@tom spun the wheel on its stand for bent wheel unbalanced tyre? its strange

Yep spun it up in first on the abba stand and there's absolutely no wobble the back of the bike is pretty much perfectly still.

Edited my post just as you posted :p

yeah that's it, so literally all you need is this bit
19769_689911t.jpg

the top is where the mirror stalk screws into.

If you have a parts fiche you'll be able to get the part number and search the web with that. I guarantee it'll be the same bit used on 3 or 4 different bikes, it's the same for Honda's, the clutch lever bracket is the same across loads of models. Don't bother messing around with trying to re-tap it, just get a new bit and fit it - much much less hassle.

Also took the bike in for seals this evening, my mechanic works throughout the night, it will be ready by the morning, stunning!

Try your local triumph dealer, just call them and give them the part number - they might need to order it it and you might want to be sitting down when they tell you price though :p
