What did you do to your bike today?

You're Kidding right ? If not then :p

The Fuel can looks massive, Is it as big irl or is it the pic making it look so big ?

haha, damn!

its 350mm, meant to be street lagal with the baffle in, i didnt want any bigger (stock size) and didnt want a stubby so 350mm seemed to be best of both works

That'll just melt as soon as you turn the bike on?

Need to replace it with high temp stuff really, that should do the trick.

ok cool, will grab some, any particular one to use?

No but this will

You shouldn't really need to use anything when fitting a new can it should fit well enough once you tighten the clamp. If you do need to use owt then use the above or any other Exhaust paste.
Also if you do use paste then only use a tiny amount on the end bit as you don't want any coming out to where you can see it & going all black/burnt on.

thanks guys

as i say its a tiny little air leak, will monitor it and performance of bike

may order some of that stuff you linked to 4T5, cheers

Just go to your local Motor Factors & get some it'll be just as cheap & you won't have to wait for it.

I literally moved it so that it was at about a 40 degree angle off centre. Now, when i walk to and from my block, I can see it much better and continue to appreciate it.

Had it 2 years and I still can't walk away from it without turning back to have another look. :)

Put this on the R6 at the weekend, can't wait to test it out! I hear they can be bit of a pig to setup right but nothing like a challenge, will be at Mallory on 1st April getting my ACU so I can go racing

I've also been repairing the fairings after trashing the bike at Pembrey last year, I'll get some pictures when I'm done but it looks okay for a few rattle cans and a lot of fibreglass/filler! I've been a bit tight and only replaced one panel (it was in more pieces than I dare to count), the rest are still usable :p Will try to get some pictures up when I'm done!

Gave the Super Duke a post winter clean up and check over. Picked up some aftermarket mirrors and levers, cleaned up the cack that collects around the swinging arm and frame, gearbox, usual places etc.

It's done well, much better than a Honda I rode through the winter years ago (to be fair though ACF50 wasn't available in the late 90s). Although I will be taking it to the dealers about a few things I'm not happy with which are known issues. Front and rear brakes are running out of true and the left side panel doesn't fit(!!) it's comical really, I'll see what they say.

Few pics of the levers and mirrors..

Looks great, although i'm not sure on the Mad Max inspired headlight guard :D

I didn't use a sealant, 0 leaks.

I didn't use sealant on my brand new Akrapovic full system, and it leaked. A tiny amount of high temp sealer and it was perfect.

That said you shouldn't use non "sensor safe" silicone sealer if the exhaust system has an oxygen sensor since standard silicone ruins the sensors when it's burnt.
