Is that the guy who's doing them for £60?
Yep.

You mean £17 £14 +VAT
It's worth finding an online parts fiche, it's basically that exploded view of every single part down to the individual nut and bolt on your bike, with part numbers. Great if you ever need a replacement bit.

Damn, he's a keeper. Dirt cheap prices, nice clean workshop AND works on the bike overnight?!! If only we all had a local indie guy that good.
Where are you putting the camera
Indeed, he used to own a garage in Manchester city centre but he said rates were very high, so he did up his own garage at home and works from there. He's more busy here then he was at his garage. Its taken me a week to get booked in, he's a really good guy and his workshop is immaculate.
Got his contact details? What garage did he used to have?
I'm no longer in the City centre but if it works I'd be interested!
Picked up the bike last night, asked him to use 15w fork oil and the difference is ace, feels less bouncy now
It won't matter to have a slight leak,I'm surprised they suggested putting anything on it tbh, normally they are a dry fit, maybe a smear of exhaust paste if you wanted an airtight fit but no real need, looks good now
Did you use the high temp silicon stuff? I would use high temp gasket sealant instead, worked perfectly on my brother's Bonneville when we changed the exhausts.
Your rear tyre looks squared or is that the picture?
I'm looking forward to having front suspension that actually soaks up bumps...
At the moment when I ride over the bumpy strips where they've worked on the road and filled in a trench in the road, my handlebars jolt over them while the rear hardly moves. Not nice when there's a mid corner bump and the entire front end reacts to the bump
Seal driver and allen bolt bits ordered yesterday, I'll order the seals and paddock stand in the next couple of days, then I'll get a halfords professional set of adapters (need a 3/8 to 1/2 for my impact gun).
Oh and easy way to tell if you have an exhaust leak, fire up the engine and wearing gloves, cover the exhaust hole with your hand, you'll feel the pressure build up after a second or so if there's no holes, and it'll quieten down letting you hear if it's escaping from somewhere else.
I used bathroom clear silicone sealant
