What did you do to your bike today?

Shouldn't be that hard, you can even get the pre-made leads to connect to the standard manufacturer connectors. New LED relay in place of the old one, job done.

Ahh, good eyes :D See my edit, measure how much space there is. Also, if your plate is a standard 8x6, measure how far a 7x5 would overhand the mounting points, i.e. how much of the indicator would be hidden by the numberplate if you had a 7x5.

I thought of a smaller plate as well, any reputable place to get one at very short notice? Next day delivery required.

Exactly - just depends how much the plate overhands the mounting for the indicators so we know how long the stalk needs to be, and how much space there is in total.

What size is that? I thought 8x6 is the 'standard' size but it may be 9x7!

haven't ordered a plate online before so not sure where is best.

a bit of advice, don't buy it from the place that Wazza300 bought his, they all must be cross eyed or something. :p

Hehe sorry, though mine was fine,he must like Kawasaki's or something:p

@Rossi a 7" x 5” is an ideal size pity you couldn't whack an integrated indicator/tail light in there quick

So your top line of numbers will legally fit onto a 7.6" wide plate.

character width - 44 millimetres (except the figure 1 or letter I)
character stroke - 10 millimetres
space between characters - 10 millimetres
top, bottom and side margins - 11 millimetres (minimum)

3x 44mm - Y, R and 0
1x 10mm - 1
3x 10mm space between charactors
2x 11mm margins

Total - 194mm, or 7.63"

Height legally it would be 6.4" so a 7x6" if you wanted to be nearly 100% legal.

All depends if that plate is a 9" or 8" wide, and how wide the idicator mounting plate is behind it.

I'll look into the sizes later but I think it's currently 9" wide. Even if it's 8", a 7"x6" would help!

Just need to find a decent place with next day delivery.

Craig321 and Clovis got their from some website, search it up you should be able to find it. Craig321 posted it up couple times...

I also used proplates. Really good service, looks great and arrived quickly.

I thought a 7x5 on my Bonneville might look a bit too sporty, but it looks great :)

7x5 looks fine, lots of people have it. The Police around our area don't really care, as long as its the same font and it doesn't have anything stupid on it, its all good. :)

Anyway, I'm off to change the tail light to stock and put some different indicators on. Ehh... no more Chinese stuff. The amount of money I've spent, I could easily get legit Rizoma indicators. But at least I have lots of spares... :p
