What did you do to your bike today?

The covers are only really designed to help stop you grinding through your cases aren't they? Nothing to do with absorbing shock.

Absolutely, but if the fasteners touch down before the cover then the cover isn't going to do anything, and they will transmit straight to the crankcase... And if the fasteners snap then the cover won't even be there. Seems a very poor design. GBracing covers have the cover material sit proud, and all the fasteners back in recesses.

Cleaned and waxed mine ready for some riding tomorrow, rebuilt and refitted the caliper to my old ybr just needs filling and bleeding now then hopefully it'll be MOT ready.

Where you going? I think I'll have a ride to the beach tomorrow, nearest one to me is weston. :)

We've got a group ride over to Wales planned heading to crossgates I think, to be honest I just turn up in the morning and then see where we end up it's never a bad run.

Got my new Angel GT fitted today. Shop were more than happy to wipe the old goop out. Shame to get rid of a tyre with so much tread left. Think it might not be balanced properly though. I had vibratey finger syndrome on my right hand when I got home. Hopefully it's just because it's a new tyre and is harder than my old at the moment. Didn't actually notice the vibrating, but my right hand fingers felt like they'd been vibrating a lot when I stopped... weird.

Also picked up some Triumph aluminium LED indicators from the shop. Got them to sell them for £98 for both pairs, so £22 off :D. They're amazing quality. Only problem is, I don't think I can use them as they don't fit on the R&G tail tidy which means i need to keep R&G indicators on the back, which means the relay that you need for the front might not work.

An led relay will work fine with a mix of incandescent and led indicators it just provides a fixed resistance so you'll lose any warning if your bulbs go but apart from that it'll work.

Got a part worn pilot road 4 on the front. it matches the rear now thanks to a biker friend up the road from me. Turns out the VFR800 FIV has the same front tyre size and disks etc.

The Metzler I had before was right at the end of it's life....so you know what that means...

AAAHHHH the bike is diving into corners!!! it doesnt feel right!!! AHHHHH!! :D

Why don't they fit?
I'm sure that mine has the R&G tidy and from looking at their website it's the same one from used for 2013 onwards.

It's a combination of my exhausts being under seat so I can't have them coming out the side of the number plate like yours and the brackets for the R&G indicators not working with the Triumph ones.

Oh right that makes sense. Is there no way of modding the brackets to get them to fit?

Possibly, in theory I should just be able to drill another hole in the bracket that currently holds the R&G indicators, but then there's a bolt in the way that holds the bracket on to the bike meaning the Triumph indicators don't go on straight :(

Replaced battery with a MotoBatt, starts excellently. Also bought an Oximiser and sat it on that over the weekend.
Gave it a good clean on Sunday, which is why it's going to rain this week, sorry guys.

Changed out my engine oil and properly sorted my brakes out, much better now. Also re-installed the baffle for our Alps trip on Friday and given her a good clean.

The battery on my GSX was a nightmare as well, I'm wondering if the recalled rectifiers had something to do with it. If it was cold I could leave it for 2 days and I'd have to jump start the thing.

Not only did I give my a proper clean and wax but I also ordered a decent mesh jacket to replace the cheap rubbish I've been using so if there was any doubt it would rain this week that sealed our fate :p

Mine has been sat in the garage filthy for the last 2 weeks since I got back from Germany. I should really give it a clean :( poor thing.
