What did you do to your bike today?

I fitted a double banjo with a built in bleed nipple when I done mine made bleeding them much much quicker.

Have you got the spark plug tool from the original toolkit? It makes life a lot easier when doing the front.

There was no tool kit in the bike when I bought it, unfortunately. I do have a spark plug kit though, with the rubber internals etc.

I can't see how built in bleed nipples speed up bleeding?

It adds a nipple up at the master cylinder where a lot of the air sticks when you're trying to bleed them makes getting it out much easier.

Changed the transmission oil and engine oil in the CRF, used Motul 300 for the engine oil and it's luminous green and smells like bananas :D

Also took both the CRF and YZ up the road, both are beasts, lifting the front on power without any effort... it's glorious

I use the 7100 that's bright red and smells of strawberries, if that's not a reason to use it I don't know what is!

I've got the next 5 days off and apart from a few bits and bobs I've got sod all planned other than refurb my "new" forks so new seals all round, progressive springs, decent oil and respray the bottoms black so they match the rest of the frame and riding :D

Cleaned front brake calipers. Bought new pads in prepartion for changing as dealer on service said they only had a little bit of life in them. Money grabbing liars, LOADS of meat still on the pad material. Con artists I swear.

Anyway, was worth the effort as nice and clean and no more low speed squeal!

Also got my nice coated M5 machine screws to replace the standard ones supplied with my Ztechnik screen. Just could not live with that stainless/black contrast.

Fired up the Guzzi for the first time in about 2 years. Spluttered a bit then ran perfectly fine, big grin on my face. Until I noticed petrol leaking from the right hand carb :( So close to being roadworthy again...

Washed the bandit and ninja today, need to find something better than the muck off I've been using to get a week worth of flys of though as it's still quite a bit of scrubbing.
need to take the ninja out tomorrow to work on getting rid on the chicken strips, for some reason I find it harder to lean than the bandit, I don't think I countersteer for some reason.

yeah sdoc will eat through a lot, pricey though so use sparingly. If your a tight arse like me go over the heavy soiled areas with a rag and a little bit of paraffin then wash off ;) Also paraffin for the chain is waaaaaaay cheaper than a can of cleaner.

Cool i'll looking into getting some sdoc to try.
been using the wd40 chain wax for a while and it seems really good, currently £4.49 (when you buy 2) at M&P for the 400ml. good price so had to order some more.

Spotted a stiff link or 2 in my chain, looks like it's time for a replacement  It was only replaced with new sprockets last November and gets lubed every 200 miles if not less.

Chain gets cleaned with WD40 cleaner every few weeks, spray it on let it sit give it a good wipe down with a clean rag.

Edit: New chain on the way anyway not going to risk it, yes I know I should replace the sprockets as well but cash isn't gushing and the ones on there are fine. Just got to hope I can hunt down my chain riveter now!
