What did you do to your bike today?

Replaced the EXUP cables on my Fazer. One of those jobs you think will only take an hour but ends up taking much more and left me a gibbering wreck with grease on my hands, arms and face. Got it done in the end and if there is a next time Ill have a better idea of what I'm doing.

Gave it a good clean on Sunday, clocked up around 200 miles on the Tuono, filled up twice :p
Keep thinking about another Tuono, and very very nearly enquired about this (like yours, it's the only colour scheme that suits it)..

But my RS660 is only 6 months old and I should probably keep it a bit longer before P/Xing it, or not.

Lol, had the same when I replaced the powervalve cables on my RGV.
What turned out to be 20 minutes or so I hoped, turned into a living nightmare.
I may as well have dropped the engine again :(

Yeah nice that is, seems about where it should be price wise though I’ve seen some 17 plate bikes just over £8000 which were fully loaded.

They dropped in price nicely, I remember when you couldn't get a decent Tuono of that gen for less than 12k.

I’m guessing it’s the cost of valve clearance checks at 12K miles that puts people off (and all the related horror stories) hence the drop in prices now the bikes are showing some miles.
That and cam chain tensioner “rattle”, although I believe they changed the design on later bikes so the oil stayed in the tensioner rather than draining out.

I got to this point with the tear down of the ZX-9R's gearbox..........yeah, that's not good!!!

I worked near a Ducati dealership today, so stopped in and got a quote for a new tyre.

First service - £255
While they have it in there, fit a new tyre, same as what's on there. £455:eek::eek:
That's 455 quid for one rear tyre! I thought it included the service when he first told me the price:cry:

OEM tyres on most new bikes are different to the aftermarket tyres from the same manufacturer. A potential mistake was to ask for "same as what's on there" as you may have got quoted for an OEM tyre which are probably harder to source as they are not intended to be sold as replacements and therefore more expensive to supply.

I started preparing for riding in colder weather by fitting some barkbusters hand guards to the Tiger. It should cut down on wind blast on the backs of my hands. I also got an adapter cable for the optimate connector, which was already on the bike when I bought it, to connect to my Keis heated jacket. It saves having to wire a new connection to battery. I think next week I need to AC50 it.
