What film did you watch last night?

"This is the end" was a rather poor movie with so much potential, it was full of sex jokes, gay references and at times bad acting. Most of the movie was spent inside a single house!

4/10

Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Terrible. Ridiculous emo hipster trendy nonsense. Style over substance. 3/10. One each for the retro Smashing Pumpkins shirts and one for the three minutes of Anna Kendrick.

Olympus has fallen

Wow! Amazing film! Loved it!

:D

8/10

it was ok till then end

Then the president gets shot in the stomach, he's then bleeding his guts out, struggling to move in the corner, then the next min he's walking fine picking his daughter up without hardly any blood on him.

Plus come on the presidents been shot and the ambulance service are no where to be seen when they come limping out of white house.

apart from that it was good.

haha yeah there was a lot of wrong/silly things in the film! :D

Biggest gripe for me was the 3 codes thing:

keeps saying that they will never get his code especially since Connor is safe, however, all the bad guys had to do was torture/threaten to kill Ruth and the other people considering he didn't want them to be killed and told them to give up their codes to survive........
But I can ignore all of that! :D

Olympus has fallen

Dreadful film, i just couldnt let myself enjoy it. Ok the story is unrealistic but they didnt even focus any effort into it. It was a weak weak weak story.

I just watched this yesterday and quite enjoyed it tbh, thought it was an enjoyable light hearted romp with some good comedy. Sure it was style over substance, but I enjoyed the style! 7.5/10 (Just had to IMDB Anna Kendrick though, no idea who she is)

Also watched :-

Layer Cake - Typical by the numbers cliche English gangster film, done well though 7/10

ill manors - Really enjoyed this, I liked the way the protagonists stories entwined into a twisting tale of English inner city lives full of despair with little hope of salvation, so the little bit of good and humanity shines through. 8/10

Flight, good film. Standard performance from Denzel. John Goodman's last scene was fantastic :D 7/10

Pursuit of Happyness. Another good film. Will Smith did an excellent job in making me really feel for the character and imagining being in his situation. 7.5/10 Nearly as good as Wild Wild West :p

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

I wasn't expecting much when I sat down to watch this, but I ended up really enjoying it. A very cool, adult take on the classic kids fairy tale.

Sherlock Holmes - A Game Of Shadows. Solid 8/10.

Forgot how funny that movie can be at times. I was listening to the score from Hans Zimmer whilst at work. So it got me in the mood and I watched it when I got home.

Downey Jr and Law make a damn good couple! :D

I really liked it, but for me the Dr character himself was just a bridge too far. He was too silly, and it spoiled it for me.

I don't know, looking at him you could tell he was brilliant and socially awkward, he just got carried away in the excitement - mien fuhrer! The odd hand thing was maybe a bit far though, not enough to spoil it though.
