What film did you watch last night?

Under the Skin

1/10 - It's a metaphorical sack of crap that makes less sense than the Transformers movies, the scenes are utterly boring and it basically boils down to SJ driving round in a van. I'd give it 0/10 but as she got naked I'll give it at least a point. Honestly I haven't seen anything this bad in years.

Rise of planet of the apes

In preparation for new one instead of seeing transformers

Good solid film and a fair attempt at getting the science slightly realistic (although very much wrong)

I'll give it a 7. Not brilliant but definately enjoyable

The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Absolutely loved it, and I have to say that the special effects are quite simply the best I have ever seen in any film.

Well worth a watch.

8.5-9/10

**one small gripe.....why is it that in any film involving the requirement to have power that there is always a person who knows how the system works and how to get it back online????**

Because if you have a system of power then it makes sense to have someone around who knows how it works

Divergent 7/10

Kinda like an ultra gritty Harry Potter (in terms choice of houses/factions) with a bit of Hunger Games and a hint of Starship Troopers ;)

I actually enjoyed it

Noah 3/10, drivel!

Amazing Spider Man 2, liked it 7/10

I've never actually seen any of the Planet of the Apes films believe it or not but I'm quite drawn to the latest one - I've borrowed the "Rise of...." one but do I need to watch any of the older one's before I watch "Rise" and "Dawn"??

Not really, but it helps to see where this is all heading if you don't mind dated effects/makeup etc.
Just avoid the Mark Wahlberg film and stick with the original PotA and maybe a couple of the sequels :)

My only gripe
How the hell did they need the power from the dam to power the radio? They had been sat there 10 years and nobody thought to hook it up to a portable gen?

Prisoners

Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal struggle to find 2 little girls who have been abducted. Very well done with some moving scenes.

Europa Report

The style of movie was brilliant, a fake documentary / film in a documentary way..., mixing sci fi with a small sense (for a film at least) of science "reality"

Not for everyone, and a slow burner, but my favourite film I've watched in a long time

9/10 for me

Robocop 2014 or whenever the remake was made

I actually enjoyed this, a solid enough film, I do not understand what all the hatred is regarding. It isn't the original, it doesn't try to be, the CGI was seemless, the fight scenes good. I never actually felt the main was in any particular danger at any stage, so that is certainly something the could have worked upon, but that is the issue with a 12 rated film. The level of threat will always be an issue.

Decent film. Took me ages to figure out where I knew Rorschack from ;)

Oh, lets go Tin man.

It had fantastic sound effects.

Watched this yesterday, thought it was brilliant.

My only gripe..
Would a city really get like that after 10 years? I know it adds to the effect of humans being wiped out etc, just seems a little OTT.
