What film did you watch last night?

I knew that Frank Miller was involved with the project. Hadn't really looked into the background too much. But thanks for the info.

Really do need to look into graphic novels has been way too long since I last read one.

I know it's not the place but can anyone recommend any decent ones.

I have generally stayed with the Superman/Batman/Spiderman series but am interested in something a little different.

Really need to pick up a copy of Watchmen after watching on Blu-Ray (Director's Cut) i want to see what was left out of the movie although my understanding is that the film is fairly true to the original story.

Judge Dredd: Total War (simply amazing imo).

On topic: I watched the rest of F&F recently, it picked up towards the end, looking forward to the fifth film but I hope that will be better.

Also, watched Syriana again, which I really like considering how it holds my attention despite being so fractured.
 
The Blind Side

I strongly reccommend this film! Yes it is somewhat predictable and with hindsight it is probably aimed primarily at an American market.

BUT, this film delivers in so many areas. Bullock gives a superb performance that deserves an Oscar (I believe at least!). Direction, cinematography and all that is just on the right level and everything falls in place perfectly.

This film should make you smile, otherwise you're just not human.

Zombieland - Brilliant! Easily the best film I've seen for a good while, it was just like watching a movie version of Left4Dead!

10/10 from me, highly recommended.

Brilliant movie, one of my favourite of all time. Don't walk but RUN to your local Blockbuster. Worth seeing back to back.

Another spin off created called Stargate Atlantis (5 Seasons)
Then there was a straight to dvd/bluray release of Stargate Ark of Truth (SG1)
Another SG1 straight to dvd/bluray release followed called Stargate Continuum
Recently there is a new show called Stargate Universe (Currently half way through season 1 on SKY 1 HD)

Coming soon is Stargate Universe season 2, another SG1 straight to dvd/bluray release which is set inbetween SG1 and Universe that focuses on Jack O'Neill and there is a Stargate Atlantis straight to dvd/bluray release coming soon too.

I think that covers it all :)

I heard their making a new SG1 Movie with Jack in specifically, and a Atlantis movie soon aswell which was put on hold due to lack of funding?

Watched this the other night too, genius film. Very cleverly put together and well acted. Not to mention that cameo. :D

Yeah I thought the cameo was brilliant too, I was thinking ''they've never got <you know who> in this as well'', and sure enough they do :D, and what a brilliant part too!

I don't know if you noticed but there's a little extra part right after the end credits, I normally switch films off straight away but for some reason I didn't with this one and I'm glad I didn't as even that was brilliant little scene too.
 
The Man from Earth.

Better then I thought a film about people sitting in a room talking would be. Think the religious segment went on too long and probably could have done without it. Ending was a bit wtf.

Having seen a review in this thread for the film and the fact it'd been on a "wishlist" of mine for a while I bought 12 Angry Men. Pretty amazing film considering that apart from the beginning and end minutes it takes place in one room.

The first two are pretty good fun; the third one I watched on iplayer with temperamental subtitles and loads of lag/jitter etc. Made it very hard to watch. Was OK I guess.
 
Gave in and watched Twilight with missus, it was Valentines weekend and all.

I'm sure you won't hold it against me if i don't give an opinion and go and scrub my eyes until i can't see any of whats been burnt into them

Gonna make up for it tonight with Platoon & True Romance

I believe I red the opposite that the Atlantis movie will be made but that there are currently some issues needing worked out with the O'Neill movie, could be wrong mind.

Hopfully they release both. Not to happy seeing how much jack has changed physically in Universe, that man has let himself go! Older or not he could have cut out a few burgers ;)
 
Not a film, so sorry to bend the rules but i watched episodes 1-8 of Dexter first series today.

God damn, this show is engrossing! I'm watching a lot of TV at the moment though. Films have taken a break. So far I've seen

Glee season 1
30 Rock season 1/2 (currently watching 3)
Dexter season 1
6 Episodes of The West Wing

The I have Arrested Development, The Wire and Entourage all ready to go :)

Dexter is great. you'll be glad to know it stays consistently good throughout the 4 seasons of the show (IMO of course).
