Arthur C Clarke was responsible for thinking up most of the tech and 'future' worlds in 2001 rather than Stanley Kubrick. And even then it was Just an evolution of other ideas seen in both print and film, such as the Electronic Clipboards in Star Trek TOS.
Trading Places - Classic christmas time film (in my house at least). Has aged OK, still a favourite of mine 7/10
Clarence Beeks: I anticipate penetration and acquisition at : tomorrow.
Hold on.
Dracula Untold.
Better than I thought it would be (7/10).
Put the expendables 3 on right after, turned off after maybe 10 minutes and I have no idea how I lasted that long. It's a 0/10 for the first 15 minutes, no good lines, no good acting, no good action, horrendously poor story, awful cgi. Nothing even slightly redeeming about it.
My guess is you didn't watch the previous two films then. If you had, you would have known what you were letting yourself in for.![]()
Mate borrowed me his dvd of source code after id told him id watched edge of tomorrow.
You can sure see where they got their ideas from with the later.
The hunger games
Thought it was ok. Reasonable adventure film, albeit a bit weird. I found the whole futuristic world a bit odd but I suppose that is what they were going for.
6.5/10
