What film did you watch last night?

3 films in the cinema back to back 12 midnight till 7am as part of Lucia Movie night (Swedish thing)

1) PRIDE - 80s based True story of the UK Miners strike supported by gay group raising money in London for a welsh community BBC made fantastic film 9/10 Watch it if it comes your way.

2) Imitation game - The WW2 story of the enigma machine code breaker and inventor of Computing Alan Turin played by Benedict Cumberbutch - Explores his life and achievement. Keira knightley in it too. Superb acting by everyone. Great film 9/10 also.

3) Whiplash - Oh dear god. I don't know why this film is so highly praised. An aspiring drummer is guided/mentored by the drill instructor from Full Metal Jacket in a film that makes no sense unless you like improvised jazz or have a film studies degree stuck up your ass. Words cannot describe the sense of relief felt by the audience when this film ended. About 20 people walked out before half way. This film should contain a health warning "CONTAINS JAZZ and blood" It is like a constant repeat of the same scene over and over.. I cant spoil it but this is among the worst films i've ever seen. I'm sure the next review of it will be 10/10, its that marmite. I give this film 2/10 because i laughed once and the other point is for it finally ending.

Apollo 13. 7/10

Enjoyed it, although wasn't full of suspense as I knew how it would end. Also a bit of a blur with all the technical terms they constantly use. Didn't know what the **** they was talking about most of the time. Best bit was the end when Hanks shakes hand with the real Jim Lovell.

Mannequin! Eighties romantic comedy. James Spader doing a comedy turn, Kim Cattrall in her prime, a ban on any music not synthed, direction consisting of "overact a bit more". Brilliant in every cheesy way.

I forgot to post this the day after, but I went to the premiere of The Theory of Everything last Tuesday :D Second time I'd seen it, it's an utterly fantastic film. Extremely well told story, and Eddie Redmayne is unbelievable in it. Total transformation. If he doesn't win best actor then it'll be a travesty. Felicity Jones is excellent too. Just take tissues as you'll be bawling your eyes out!

I actually watched the Lego Movie last night, and wow what a disappointment! Can't understand all the fuss about it. Sure, it was quick-witted and funny in places, but actually quite dull besides all the swoosh-swoosh going on. Big 'meh' from me..

Yeah I actually didn't get to the end of it! :(

Normally quite enjoy the animated films tbh, like Despicable Me, How to Train your Dragon etc.

Equalizer - 8/10 from me strong film which kept me well entertained. Only complaint is the story line is nothing new, but they pulled it off well imo.

Fast and furious best thing on TV at 6am. It might not be a work off art, but it's still enjoyable.
Now do I watch the rest of series back to back as it's on TV like that, comp is broke after all.
