What film did you watch last night?

Hobbit - Battle of the 5 armies. Pretty good, typical Peter Jackson movie.

Pros- good production and effects, the cast was ok but nothing award winning imo

Cons - pretty weak story line and very heavily strung out. could have done something better with the main threat.

Overall still enjoyed it to conclude the trilogy for the Hobbit - 8/10

Couldnt be bothered to hunt out a good film last night so I was relying on Netflix, managed to spot something on there which didnt look too bad

"All good things"

Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst - About some high flying NYC business family with their Son which turns out to be a bit weird. Kurst Dunst playing his wife and turns in to a murder/missing persons sort of film.

Was ok, not amazing but would give it 6/10 and an easy find

The Babadook - Bit of an odd horror from Australia. Enjoyed the suspense and the creepy bits and the lead actress was pretty good at being just a little crazy. Not your typical hollywood ending either. 6/10

That film gave me a headache, from the first min all I wanted was for something to take the kid out, he was that annoying.

In the Name of the King

What the actual ****, Uwe Boll?
Given some of the names in the cast, I couldn't believe how awful this was.

1/10

Rampage and Rampage: Capital Punshment
Not the first time I watched these. I thought these were pretty damn good, though rather disturbing.
Couldn't believe some of the reviewers who didn't like the second one purely because they wanted to see more people being killed  *Whoosh* That's people for you...
Uwe Boll can make a decent film after all, though these definitely aren't for everyone.

Brendan Fletcher puts in an excellent performance in each. His character makes some very good points, but his idea of how to sort out the world's problems is just bat**** crazy.

Predators

Not the first viewing, but I haven't seen it for a while and enjoyed it more this time round tbh.
If you're a fan of the originals or comics and don't have hopes of it being some kind of multilayered extravaganza and are willing to just approach it as a kind of simple comic to film type of thing like Dredd, it's ok.
Never gonna live up to the first two for obvious reasons, and like the Terminator franchise, they really need to stop reusing lines from the old films...

Still annoyed about the trailer where they showed loads of beams on him and it turned out that it was just promo BS that was never in the film

When I saw it in the cinema someone actual shouted at the screen "Where's the rest of the ****ing dots you lying *******'s" :D

It's one of the things that bugs me about modern trailers along with showing you the entire story in 30secs.

Yep, totally agree.
I probably would've done the same if I'd seen it at the cinema tbh.
In this case, someone made the decision to outright lie and give a false impression of what to expect in order toget more bums on seats. Unforgivable.

+1... 9.5/10 Sci-fi classic.

Amazing film, incredible considering it's age. Many times iv'e watched it, but ill never forget the first... my old man had it on vhs:)

Fell asleep watching the turtles film last night, the original one from 1990. Not seen it before, but it really did remind me of the cartoon I was faaarr to old to be watching:)

The equalizer 5/10 run of the mill action film, special forces/CIA dude takes out some criminals, been done to death.

Not seen it but I must admit, the allure of the TV series was an old dude that you didn't expect to be able to do much against the baddies, could actually kick some ***! :D
Having Denzel in the title role sort of kills that idea!!

For my part, watched The Maze Runner last night and really rather enjoyed it! Not ground breaking by any stretch but entertaining enough to give me a bot if interest in the sequel(s)! - 7/10
