What film did you watch last night?

The Hunger Games : MockingJay pt 1 - 4/10 - Last film of the day and the missus favourite (no surprise) however I felt it had a below par script, a confusing storyline and some pretty poor acting from most of the cast, although to be fair considering the cast it may have been down to poor direction rather than poor acting. One thing that annoyed me were 2 scenes where "normal people" threw away their lives in large numbers against troops carrying assault rifles. These normal people then seconds later turn into military experts with deadly knowledge of explosives. What the people did in both scenes made no sense at all (info in the spoiler).

The Forest people should have turned around and attacked the troops rather than run up some trees as many more would have survived.

The same at the Dam, the attackers should have brought shields which would have reduced their loses considerably.

Then again it's based on a kids book so maybe I shouldn't expect the tactics to be any good :D

Freddy Got Fingered.. Again lol.. 8/10.. A movie that if you don't have a certain comedic appreciation this film will be excruciatingly horrible, but if you do have it, one of the most classic, surreal and most hilarious things you will ever watch.

"The backwards man, the backwards man, moving as fast as all of you can" or THE best "Ding dong, ding dong, DING DONG!"

EDIT: To past posts, yep Mockingjay part 1 was as ianh said, about a 4/10.. Nothing spectacular, almost bordering on a Michael Bay production without the explosions. Worth a watch when you can watch the last 2 parts at the same time, if you can't, dont bother with this one, trust us.

ANd @ Manbatius, I actually saw The Maze Runner two nights before, and as you said I was pleasantly surprised. Was a half decent, original movie about a 6.7 here for me. Could have been better if they had included the stuff they obviously showed will be in the sequel. Deserves a sequel though, and is definitely worth a watch

One exception - Human Traffic. ;)

Ive not actually seen that. Might look into it.

Watched Redirected a short while ago. 7/10, it really surprised me. Okay, the plot was a bit weak and there was no closure, but it was such an entertaining film that paced itself well.

heh i remember when i first watched this years ago, so many OTT WTF funny moments

The Lego Movie - the missus hadn't seen it so the second time around for me. Still laugh out loud in places. You notice more stuff going on in the background too.

the only negative from me was the human bit, I'm wondering if they could've done without them, it seems to interrupt the flow too much

A solid 9/10.

I disagree, the entire film was built around the human bit. They whole plot line and moral of the story was dependent on that scene and one could argue the 'LEGO' part of the film was just being used to illustrate the larger picture in the real world. For me, the human part made it, it transformed it into a truly deep and thought provoking film.

My last film before going to bed was,

Behind the candelabra.

It was awesome, watching Micheal douglas and Matt damon gay it up, other famous actors such as Rob lowe, Scott Bakula, Dan Aykroyd etc.

8/10
