What film did you watch last night?

On the subject of 'Doubt'

It's definitely intense; I would call it emotionally claustrophobic. For a plot entirely driven by dialogue, it's remakably good.

So I tried to watch this tonight Evangelion... but I had to stop after 34 minutes. The ******* bitch character Meryl Streep plays got me so infuriated I simply had to stop. I just wanted to reach through the screen and knock her down, the shriveled, emotionless, joyless... never mind.

I will have to give it another go when I'm not feeling so emotionally charged.

Now to watch some soothing, mindless anime.

edit: NO! I will not be beaten by this women! I will watch the rest!

Mate, I entirely sympathise. You just have to grit your teeth and soldier on!

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Awesome awesome film. I enjoyed this more then Up and I hope it beats it for best animation award.

I just spent all the time since that edit, up until now, sitting in the conservatory with the outside doors open trying to cool off and figure out why Meryl Streep's character has made me so angry. I got into a pointless introspective circle and also got very cold feet (wasn't wearing socks).

This is probably one of the hardest films Ive ever tried to watch apart from Mysterious Skin.

Seven Pounds

Good but not great. I felt the script was lacking in places and maybe this is one to many "lonely man" roles for Smith; that is not to say he was bad in any way... Reccommendable though.

6.5/10

Good, isn't it?

Big Fan. Amusing black comedy about the chronic health problems of overweight Jewish football supporters in the USA. Sadly let down by an anti-climactic ending. A subplot about alcohol-fueled violence amongst African Americans shows a white Jewish man being savagely beaten by a powerfully built black athlete. While not related to the main story, it provides an interesting diversion.

Trivia: Neville Gorman turned the role of an extra in the final bar scene ("Man with Budweiser") due to scheduling conflicts. The part was eventually given to Tierra del Fuego, marking his debut as a Hollywood extra.

Watched one of the worst films ever last night....Fighting http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1082601/

It really was an horrendous movie, not only were the fight scenes bad but the storyline and dialogue were awful too.

There is a hot chick in it called Zulay Henao, but even she couldnt save this terrible film.

2/10

Law Abiding Citizen.

Payback after man loses everything. Very graphic at times and a little far fetched although not too far..

Really enjoyed it.

8/10

Der Untergang. Words can barely describe the power of this film. I have a strong constitution for depictions of violence and emotional trauma, but Der Untergang was utterly harrowing in its intensity.

There was a certain scene involving Magda Goebbels which made me want to leave the room and hug my baby daughter. Those of you who have already seen the film will know what I'm referring to.

Absolutely. Powerful, chilling, heart-wrenching.

One of my 'favourite' - or perhaps that should be 'most respected' - films of all time. Bruno Ganz's profound portrayal of Hitler is mesmerising. There can't be many scripts/performances that make the viewer feel an element of sympathy for one of the most twisted, 'evil' humans of modern times.
