What film did you watch last night?

Spectre. I liked it. Good sound, photography, editing. The plot is much the same as all of these films, so meh, but the action scenes were good and I like Craig as Bond so it worked for me. Better than Skyfall, but not as good as Casino Royale.

In related news, Monica Bellucci was in the film for all of 3 minutes, but she spent half a second of that looking very hot in fancy lingerie, so that's alright. Naomie Harris is very pretty. And Lea Seydoux has dat ass and then some.

Surveillance (2009) - 3/10

Easily sooner than 1/2 way into the film, you could see the plot twist. Only it was such a retarded plot twist you were willing yourself to be wrong. "They can't do something that stupid, surely?"

And then they did.

This film has one of the worst plot twists I've ever seen. It literally destroys any enjoyment you might have extracted from the film. It makes you question if you really want to live in a world this dumb.

I just want to know why Sky is giving this 4/5 stars, when metacritic (should have checked first) is much more accurately giving it 31%.

Please, everybody. Stop trying to be M Night Shamalamarama. It was bad when he did it and it's even worse here. Stop the retarded plot twists!

Salting the Battlefield. Bill F. Nighy returns to take all the names he missed in the last movie, and this time he's leaving no arse unkicked!

8/10.

Sicario

Very solid film along with good cast and fantastic cinematography. Not really a full on action flick like the trailer may lead you to believe but you really can't blame them for trying to get few extra tickets sales.

For a movie set in such a violent setting violence really is kept to a required minimum so it still has impact when it happens on screen and never feels excessive or unnecessary. Excellent tension throughout and great story.

Best of all it doesn't push any political or social agenda onto the viewer, it doesn't even ask you to pick sides, the film just is much like the conflict it represents. Completely up to you how you want to see the character's actions and how you see the war on drugs.

8/10

Crimson Peak...such a letdown, Tom Hiddleston phoning in his performance, everything else out of the big book of Del Toro movie clichés. Twists you could see coming a mile off.

Only positive was the actual ghost scenes, CGI was convincing and very un-nerving, everything else...MEH, 5/10

Bone Tomahawk. The legendary Kurt Russell is back with a vengeance in this controversial slow burning Western about a small town under seige by giant zombie natives. A novel twist on an old theme!

7.5/10.

Watched Spectre the other day, I much prefered Casino Royale/Skyfall over this. Christopher Waltz was a disappointing Bond villain, especially after his outstanding role in Inglorious Barstewards.

The first action scene was very disappointing, this is usually the best part of a Bond, the powerful intro.

One small explosion seemed to somehow trigger a MASSIVE base killing explosion :/

Poor for a Bond film :(

6/10

The Skeleton Key - 5/10
(horror/mystery)

Held my interest, but there's little to nothing original here. And the ending was disappointing. I seem to be watching a lot of films with promise that end really badly lately.

Alpha Dog. Gritty urban crime drama based on the murder of Nicholas Markowitz. Good pacing and excellent attention to detail. Bruce Willis gnaws the scenery, but in a good way.

This is one of those films that no one really ever seems to have seen. It's a shame because it's a great movie but i've never been able to convince any friends to watch it.
