What film did you watch last night?

Not sure what everyone was smoking when they rated this film:p, the swimming pool scene just done it for me.

I know  ... it was the reason I went for this. I'm not really in to horror films and therefore don't know the good from the bad, not following the genre... I didn't want a gore fest, but something genuinely frightening... the wife found it a bit creepy, but nothing more.

Spectre - 0.1/10 ;/ and to think it couldn't get any worse after Skyfall

I'm at a loss as to what people want from a Bond film these days. This was as traditional a Bond as we could get in this era. I have just returned from seeing it, and thought it was a great film... very enjoyable and great fun, with a decent mix of funny v serious. 8.5/10

I get you don't like it but 0.1/10 lol.

Overall I was disappointed after watching it last night. I'm a huge Bond fan and was hoping for another Casino Royale however it was anything but.. Personally I'd give it a 5/10 for entertainment.

Parallels
Even though it got 6.4 on IMDB, I quite enjoyed the plot and cinematic. Some of the characters are a bit odd, their acting wasn't on point, but overall an enjoyable flick for those who like shows like Sliders, Quantum Leap etc.

It got me thinking about the technical and moral issues surrounding "stealing from yourself" in the future, should we ever discover that parallel universes are real, and we have the technology to travel between them, where our other selves are, living totally different lives in the same time line.

Man from UNCLE
I enjoyed this more than other spy movies as of late, okay maybe enjoyed SPY equally due to the humour, but this felt more involved than the others of recent times. Funny, action was done well, Alicia Vikander is just too perfect.

Bone tomahawk. Kurt Russell's sheriff and a man with a broken leg and 2 mates trek across the wild west mostly on foot. Turgid stuff and too long.

Vampire in Brooklyn - 4/10

Eddie Murphy is a vampire. But the question I kept asking myself is, "What is this film?" Horror? Nope. There's no intention to scare here. Comedy? Nope. There's no jokes or visual gags here.

I think it's /trying/ to be a comedy. But even then I'm not sure. It's not that the jokes are bad - there are no jokes.

Is it just trying to be "goofy"? Anyway, due to having no direction at all, and acting that's cringe-worthy at best, I can't say I was impressed.

No idea what anyone recommending It Follows was smoking at the time, but it's absolutely dreadful. Comically bad.

Watch only if you have absolutely nothing to do with your day. I mean like seriously, you've watched the grass grow, you've watched the paint dry, you've sat in a hotel room for 72 hours listening to Rick Astley - then and only then have you reached the point where your time is sufficiently invaluable to bother watching this film.

The Gift

Excellent script and tension building plus a couple of massive jumps! Loved it right up till the last 10 minutes.

Saw the ending coming a mile off, the name of the film being a big help to give it away, shame as it might have got a higher score

7.5 / 10

Edge of Tomorrow 8/10

A lot more lighthearted than I was expecting - actually LOL-ed a couple of times. I think the time loop thing has been done better, but it was still a fine action movie. And Emily Blunt. Yum.

It is an enjoyable movie in the respect that it is a little light hearted, yet also a little gruesome and action packed. Worth a watch by anyone's standard as a purely entertaining watch if nothing else.

Reckon Bond movies need their own scale. 7/10 regular must be close to 10/10 on the bond scale.

Man From UNCLE... can't rate as gave up on it after 40 minutes

Remains of the Day 8/10. Sucker for a good period drama me:p

The Gift - 6.5/10
