What film did you watch last night?

Just for kicks.

Not really a film, but a long documentary.

Its about the sneaker culture mainly in america, how artists like Run Dmc made ADIDAS won of the biggest brands from their simple beginnings.

How 'B' boys started to view their sneakers as fashion items, it interviews just about anyone that's had something to do with the sneaker culture, rappers, collectors, industry bosses, its very interesting.

10/10

Bury my heat at wounded knee.

A straight to tv HBO film.

Thoroughly enjoyable history drama about a period of american history i knew little about.

Adventureland

Meh. Is that the only character Kristen Stewart can play? Stupid emo cow. I chuckled a few times, but that was it. Lisa P is hot though, in a slutty 80s way.

Night Watch (2004)

Absolutely amazing, for a 2004 film on a small budget the acting and special effects were amazing too, reminded me of the level of awe that District 9 gave me.

It's about an ancient war that's been roaming for ages between the people of the Light and the people of the Dark, the movie opens by showing this epic battle on a bridge and both side's generals in the end seeing that neither would win so they make a truce that must be kept and have set up a Night Watch to uphold this truce.

It's a vampire film of course but with some deep mythology in the same respects as The Matrix, Star Wars etc. It's really amazing!

I'll be watching Day Watch tonight which is the sequel made in 2006 which I assume is the opposing side's version of the battle although I've not read much into Day Watch yet but going by the trailer it looks even more epic.

BTW Watch it on HD, it's the only way to watch such a film!

Remember Me

It was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. Some nice moments in the movie although some of it was rather predictable.

Thanks for mentioning Goodfellas, watched it last night and really enjoyed it, ending was meh like you said tho.

Watched The Langoliers - the 1995 version of the Stephen King book. Probably the worst movie I've ever seen.

Yes, it is worse than that Shark Vs Octopus movie. :o

Gus Van Sant's Elephant. An interestingly fractured film about a High School massacre that's been beautifully shot.

Don't get your hopes up about Day Watch.

It's said to be a true to Russia culture movie as in Russians will value it more due to the references and so on but Western audiences will get lost somewhat perhaps. I like these kinds of films, they're very well made.

Night Watch was good, well paced and fairly unique with great editing but Day Watch is just a mess unfortunately. I was excited about seeing it too after watching Night Watch and it does have some stand out scenes and cinematography but its definitely the weaker of the two movies.

Otesánek. Weird Czech surrealist film about a man and his wife who discover that parenthood can bring unusual challenges. Zdenek Kozák impressed critics with his witty portrayal of a paedophile with a heart problem.
