Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - 7/10
I enjoyed it, despite going in with low expectations based on reviews I had seen. Whilst it can be criticised for trying to fit too much in, in never felt like it was dragging, and a lot of the small things will likely set up the story for other films in the universe.
Still undecided with some of the casting -
- Ben Affleck as Batman seems ok, but just doesn't seem "right" after Christian Bale.
- Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, just didn't seem to have the presence (maybe I expected someone a bit older?), although otherwise faultless.
- Jeremy Irons as Alfred - again nothing wrong with him, but after having just got used to Sean Pertwee in Gotham as Alfred, and having been spoilt with Michael Caine in the Nolan trilogy, just seemed a bit odd (probably doesn't help that the only thing that comes to mind when I think of Irons, is Die Hard with a Vengeance
