What film did you watch last night?

A little disappointed to see the lukewarm responses here to The Jungle Book. I really enjoyed it, although I did go in with low expectations given I'm a huge fan of the cartoon. It was original enough to provide a new and refreshing interpretation of the story and it looked beautiful. Saw it in 2D, don't regret it as I'm not a huge fan of 3D.

8/10.

Jungle Book 2016.

I'm somewhere in the middle of you two... maybe just an 8/10. I wished we'd seen it in 3D and look forward to the 3D Blu ray.

Oh goodness yes!
Many a dream was had.

Oh good greif yes :o

Oh, and last night Mitty. We watched it on holiday with a tiny (15") TV on DVD, so bought it again on blu and watched it properly. I love this film, its a real joy and it looks superb... 9/10

I think the only funny thing I've ever seen him in is the SNL Don't Fear The Reaper sketch, and even then you could argue that Walken is doing all the hard work.

The SNL Roxbury Guys sketch is my favourite, but even that is carried by Jim Carrey. Funny despite Will Ferrell, not because of him!

I tried to watch Anchorman 2 the other day and I got about 15 minutes in. I thought it was painful tbh.

The Revenant - Visually beautiful, DiCaprio’s tour de force performance, hard not to lose oneself in this wilderness. Really can't ask for more. 8/10

The Peanuts Movie with my daughter, she enjoyed it, I wasn't paying too much attention.

Followed by Predestination. Enjoyable but a bit of an odd movie. Thought I had it sussed quite early on, then my brain started to ache thinking about the order of events. I like it when time travel movies do that.

Beverly Hills Cop (1984) 8/10

Never did actually see this movie all the way through,So thought id watch it last night.

It was weird seeing Jonathan banks with hair :D Especially after watching Breaking bad/Better call Saul.

Love the old films from 1980-90s theres just something about them that you dont feel in new films, for me anyway.

I Gotta Fever... and the only antidote is... I Gotta Have More Cow Bell!

Seriously anybody could have done the Farrell part.. the really funny bit was and will always be Walken.

What is good is the way that Disney have modelled King Luey on Walken's facial expression.. really is something you'd expect out of Godfather.. or Chimpfather :D

Even the singing is dripping with it..

The ant eater in the credits of Jungle Book is funnier than any Farrell ..
